This is my favorite anime so it may be biased.
Story: I love the story, early on the show is monster of the week but about half way through it because one straight story. It is mainly about how heritage is ignored in modern society and on this note; they never go overboard and mix in enough action that it is usually moving forwards.
Art: The show's art is a little dated and the colors seemed to be faded but monster design, animation, and the actual art, such as backgrounds and character designs were done quite well.
Sound: The score of this anime is done by Kenji Kawaii,
...
also known for Ghost in the Shell, if you liked his work there as I have, you will like it here, from the upbeat going to school them, to the tragic theme, it varied and all done masterfully.
The voice acting in the US is a bit bad at first but around episode 3 and 4 all the characters fall into their roles and it works.
The Japanese voice work is done well, highlighted by Megumi Hayashibara as the lead.
Character: From the superstitious gun lover to the obsessed scientist the entire cast is fleshed out over the 26 episodes so that no one fells left out. Everyone gets an episode and even when it is not their episode, they still grow and get development. The two leads also get plenty of time to develop.
Enjoyment: My favorite anime, I really enjoyed it, if you allow yourself to get enthralled you will have a fun, scary, and sometime, sad ride.
Overall: While the art is a little dated, everything else is.

This is an older show that has yet to be released in the US, I watched it subbed.
Story: There is not much of a story; it is just them recording a show so it all feels like a bubble. Except for a few episodes at the end, the show is also all one-shots and it is enjoyable at that.
Art: The entire show save for one episode all take place in one setting and besides the main cast there are few extra characters, so with this you figure there would be a lot of detail. You would be wrong the animation and art style are plain.
Sound:
...
The opening and ending themes are okay with the first opening just being sounds and the ending being normal romantic ending song. The voice acting is done well you fell the seiyuu get to know their characters and grow with them. Finally, the background music is pleasant much like the show.
Characters: The characters are the focus of the show and how they interact with Maico who is herself a normal robot trying to understand humanity and in that, they succeed. A few characters get are annoying at the beginning but as you get to know them, they grow on you.
Enjoyment: This was a fun show, I enjoyed watching Maico try to learn and the end was very out there yet worked.
Overall: This series takes place in two years from the time of writing this(2008) and we are yet to have androids so this show is fun but bad in art, enjoyable yet plain. A solid 7/10.

Before I begin this review, it needs to be noted that I got into this show because of the opening which is in my opinion the best opening in an anime ever.
Story: While the plot of the show is a good one, the biggest flaw in this show is jumping around in the plot, it leaves you to guess what is going on most of the time, for example missing a key part of a fight, or a new power introduced.
Art: Being the background is just white with snow most of the time the foreground and characters look very good, while a little lazy it
...
works.
Sounds: The sound effects for this are well done and the ones repeted are not super annoying. While the music(the shows highpoint outside of the op) is very well done with good battle music, and you will find this show in battles alot so it works.
Characters: The show's main characers, Gainer, Gain, and Sara, are all done well added depth to them as the series goes on making you understand what drives them to do the stuff they do. Unfortunantly, the minor characters are all one thing, such as one is a ninja, one is a princess, one is fanservice(actually Adette is pretty well developed), and one is a bad singer(trust me on this one)
Enjoyment: And yet with all the negative things I said, I loved this show, it is just grab you and drag you through the show enjoyment, you get a few rests but then it is more progression, all of which leads to a great climax.
Overall: Not for everyone, but if you just want a fun show that isn't another harem, or moe show, go for King Gainer.

What to say about a little special that has to do with Naruto having to poop. Nothing much except it is the low point of all of Naruto(including all the fillers).
To begin the story, Konoha is holding a sports festival and all the genin are competing including Naruto. Unfortunantly Naruto has the runs and tries to go poop all through the little special stopped every step of the way.
The art is below average Naruto fare with the biggest problem being that all the background characters are major characters from the show, such as Itachi is viewable as are dead characters such as Haku and Zabuza.
The
...
sound is normal for Naruto using all the voices however goes overboard on the fart sounds.
The characters are all the characters just using their powers for humor such as Shino using his bugs, Shikamaru his shadow, etc.
Overall this is the low point of a very good series, and to make a suggestion, just skip this and watch the movie alone.
1/10 score
