Blue period is one of those animes that spoke to me in so many ways. I fell in love with it right away. The characters always felt real to me.

I'm not an art person, but a music person, so it was weird that I fell in love with this show in the way that I did. I felt like this show was the piece of myself that I needed.

Yatora, in my opinion, is a great example of a "perfect" main character. He had such great development that I feel like people don't talk about enough. He was such a relatable character that really ... shows that the thing you love most could also be your downfall, yet he still fights to make sure he still loves that thing.

The side characters were also amazing. Ryuuji was definitely a character I felt so much love for. They were the character that everyone can love.

The art and pacing were also incredible.

Angel's egg is one of the most interesting piece of media I have ever seen. It is definitely a story that makes you think about what happened the entire time.

The story is very simple honestly, about a girl who is carrying an egg around a broken-down city with a boy as they question everything around them. As they walk they encounter fishermen who are hunting "fish in the sky." The girl doesn't know why they do it.

The art style is also very simple but so beautiful for its time. It pairs well with the sound that is very fitting for the story.

Overall it is ... a great story that makes you think of loneliness, abandonment, even determination.
