Code Geass has always been an OG for me. Literally it will always have a special space in my heart, so imagine my shock the moment I found out about this movie. Literally SHOOK I tell you.
For so many years I've accepted the ending of R2, which will forever blow my mind and leave me shook to the core, but I've always enjoyed the theories and speculations about the aftermath of this anime. So to see that they actually gave us an alternate ending seems so bittersweet to me.
Honestly, the main issue for me was the storyline. I have to say that I lowkey

expected more from it. Maybe it was because of my former expectations of this anime that I expected something grander or something that would catch me totally off guard. So I suggest not to have your hopes too high because this movie is basically rewashing its old content (story-wise). One thing you have to remember is that honestly, no movie can possibly equal or outweigh the masterpiece that was created with 50 episodes, it's too much wishful thinking if you do. Other than that the plot was acceptable enough that it did leave me content and kind of satisfied.
If you're someone like me, honestly my advice is just to go watch it. You can end up hating it or loving it but you just have to watch it. Literally watch it and just let all those nostalgic feelings rush back to you.
