...then you might like Shokugeki no Souma add

The themes are completely different: cooking for SnS and volleyball for Haikyuu, but the atmosphere and the overall feel of the anime are similar if not identical. Both MC's (Souma and Hinata) start off relatively weak in their respective catergories (although it may not seem like Souma is weak at first, the show demonstrates just how inferior he is to others). Both have crazy-high potential and through endurance and practice their skills get better and better. There are scenes where they show flashes of greatness and leave others stunned. Both loves what they do (cooking and volleyball). Characters are almost all lovable and you will find yourself cheering for others that are not the MC. Both have tournaments (Interhigh and Autumn Election) where the tension and hype are identical to one another. The anime shows slowmos and exaggerates the movements to build up the WOW factor. Differences is that SnS is extremely ecchi and contains a lot of fanservice whereas Haikyuu has no ecchi scenes and is safe to watch around family. You definitely do not want to be watching SnS with others. SnS is mostly centered around Souma and his individual greatness, whereas Haikyuu shows Hinatas strengths with teamwork and how well he works with his team.
