Both feature soft spoken ladies with power, and a loyal guy who wants to put work first but just can't find it in his big heart to do so. The leads from both series also have a similar design of short, big boob, long hair, pastel color palette for the lady and tall, military type with an accessory (glasses and scarf). Both series are good to unwind and watch wholesome cuteness.

Both series feature cute girls doing cute things. But, in addition to that, both series features outside activities, and make the activity actually interesting, even if you aren't into the subject. Great, cute, lovable characters and interactions between them. The series take the time to show the character's goals for joining the club, and things outside of the club. Great soundtrack that really complements both anime too.

The characters are very similar in the way they react to things: the deadpan/blunt way the dialogue is, the way characters don't overreact to everything, the way everything in the world is grounded (besides the supernatural stuff). The characters also don't feel like cardboard cut outs, and have some depth to them. Lots of talking and explaining in both series.

The interactions between characters in both series are similar. Both series have characters have dialogue where the main characters are bluntly honest. Both series have lots and lots of dialogue, and explanations. Kyokou Suiri doesn't have as interesting as fight sequences, but it does have action sequences. It focuses more on the mystery aspect, than action. Both series have very long explanations for their mysteries, but they do make sense in some way.
