This anime is old, so as a watcher in 2023 I wasn’t expecting animation to be mind blowing. That being said, the art is pretty and the animation is OK. Is that it for this show though?

If your looking for an anime that starts of “cutesy” then slowly falls into a darker story then you may enjoy this; I personally love these kind of stories but this particular series failed to capture real depth. Music: 4
Just meh. Pretty standard, basic music. I like the violin piece, but again it’s nothing to blow my mind. Just your typical background OST that gives the scenes a little more mood.
Characters: 2
I really feel that Sana was the only remotely interesting character in this and even saying that feels like a reach. His development is so weak, he barely even gets 5 minutes to really delve into his past. I enjoyed the twins at first, but for me it slowly got really weird and became very uncomfortable to watch. Nanaka is annoying, I understand she has some pretty heavy issues but she is so unnecessarily rude and aggressive for the most part; only on few occasions did I really feel she had a right to be as moody as she was. Any other character in this is forgettable and downright annoying.
In fact, there’s one character who deserves their own paragraph based on how terrible they are. Aoi has easily earned the title of the most irritating character I have ever had to bare in a series, her voice is like nails on a chalk board, the laughs she does make me want to headbutt a wall. I COULDNT stand her; in-fact she was so gut wrenchingly ANNOYING that I had to actively fast forward the show just so I didn’t have to listen to her absurdly stupid voice. It made the scenes she was in unbearable and just filled me with anger that I couldn’t even focus on what any of the other characters are saying. They literally have scenes where 2 other characters talking and you can hear her screeching away in the background. That voice will haunt my nightmares forever.

I hate that I am even giving it a 4, but the show must of had some relatively captivating moments that kept me watching, especially with how irritating some of the characters are. If there wasn’t, this show would easily be a 1, and that’s being kind.
