So, I am not normally one to write reviews, and I'm not normally one to care about the art or the sound. I watch shows for the story and the characters. Fortunately for my attempts at a review, everything but the art in this show is beyond horrid.

STORY: What story? Ok, so there is a hint of a story, sometimes, occasionally. Human demons making a country somewhere in the background, political intrigue hinted at but never shown, given depth, or even more than mentioned by a character once or twice. If I could give a lower score than a 1 for the story, I would ... do so.

ART: The art is the best thing about the show. That isn't saying much, however as the art is the bare minimum of what a show should have to still be considered a proper anime and not a bunch of unfunny comedy shorts. 5.

SOUND: Where to begin. As I said, in most cases, I don't care about the sound. As long as the voices are different enough I can tell who is talking that's normally enough for me. For this anime, however, Silver Link decided that they were going to not vet how well a VA could do their character before signing their contracts for this show. The worst example of this is the prince's little sister who seems to be a 50-year-old woman pretending to be a 10-year-old, and poorly at that. Other than the main character and the love interest, everyone else's VAs seem like they either are untrained, unskilled, or really just didn't care.

CHARACTER: What character? This time I'm not going to qualify that statement. The 'characters' aren't actually that. they are robots who pretend to have emotions and because of that never change or go past their 1-dimensional self. Their personalities are so straight forward you could classify them each with a single word. For the more fleshed out characters, those words would have to be hyphenated words, but still single words. 0. I don't care anymore that I can't actually choose 0, I'm doing it anyway.

ENJOYMENT: 3, and only because I enjoy cringe from time to time. Even so, this show's cringe is a bit much for me and the little laughter I have while watching this attempted comedy is at it and not with it.

Would you like to watch a deep and involving fantasy action anime? Yes? Well I recommend you look elsewhere. Are you a veteran otaku who is looking for a show that understands it is nothing more than a joke thinly veiled in a serious shroud? Well congrats! You have found the perfect anime!

In the standard anime review, someone would comment on the story, art, characters, ETC. but with this anime, none of that really matters. It has a cliche plot, a cliche group of characters, a cliche art style, a cliche sound track, basically, it is one giant cliche. BUT! Do not take that as ... a criticism. The entire set up of the show is for people who know these cliches and it uses the entire concept to make it the most serious comedy in anime history (that I know of).

I don't think some people understand the quite obvious purpose of the anime. This anime is designed to make you laugh. Take it too seriously and you will be sorely disappointed.

It is now time for the Asshole Report!

Ok, this is only my second edition of the asshole report, but for the others, im going to try to be more like what I am (an asshole), but with this show, I just can not.

In this anime, the story and art are not important, but they are both good, the character's are awesome, the sound is so amazing, while watching this I jizzed in my pants... ok, no, I didn't, but I came close.

This is possibly the funniest anime I have ever seen. If your idea of a "good time" is hanging out with your friends and ... making jokes about things I'm probably not aloud to say on this site (things that are so bad that in order to actually hear them, you have to watch the uncensored version), then you would love this show.

This is is a short one (that isn't what she said) but that is the end of the [not so] asshole report. Don't cry to much about it, the oceans don't need more salt.

Alright, it is now time for the first edition of the asshole report!

There is only one important section in this entire review for why you will enjoy this, the characters. The art and story are good, but I don't care about that in this anime.

First character, and my personal favorite, is Yagami Kazuma, why? Well, that is simple, because he is kinda an asshole, like me. Kazuma seems to hate everyone, except his ex-brother (Is that really what it would be called?) Ren, his ex-cousin Ayano, and some chick named Tsui Ling(although, to my dismay, he doesn't actually hate everyone else). His ability to piss ... people off into throwing the first punch then opening i giant can off whoop ass with their face while constantly maintaining composer makes him a bad-ass.

Next Character! one I don't really like, Kannagi Ren. He seems to by a little whiny, dosn't he? anyway, he is a direct descendent of the head Kannagi line. he fits the description "obsessed sibling" quite well. Other than that, he has no real traits.

Now, Kannagi Ayano. This one I like, why? Well, she isn't like Kazuma, but she is similar. how similar? Ok, I lied, she is not similar, she has less control over her temper, and she quickly resorts to violence, sounds like my last girlfiend, *cough* sorry, I mean girlfriend.

now, for those of you who HAVE to see the rest of the review, the story is a little used but it is still good, the art is good bit it could easily have been better, the OP is terrible and the end song is ok, happy?
