Both stories involve crimes - murders and the story development in both animes is similar. At first you can see there's some kind of mystery in the whole enviroment and story and you go from one case to the next, but then, the characters show a bit more of themselves and we start to follow a grand scheme. The chara design is a bit different between those two, Sakurako-san being much more pleasing to the eye and the colors are more vivid, and Boku Dake being more dark and in faded colors, but they both have their charm. I recommend you to watch it if you got suck into the story of Sakurako-san, you'll also hold your breath for every episode of Boku Dake.

The heroines of both stories give off a similar feeling - cool, distanced, yet also warm. Both are discovering true feelings and learn how to be sincer with themselfes. I enjoyed Saruyama a lot, Akuma isn't yet finished, but I hope it'll evolve in a nice love-story, too ;)
