Funny but lame. And totally forgettable. Laden with loads of fan service but yet oddly kinda realistic as far as the mangaka aspect goes.
Pretty entertaining at first, but it kinda bores and wears you down after a couple of chapters, with its repetitive shticks and gags. Oh and I am not one to read and enjoy ecchi mangas and this is proof yet again why I steer clear of them. This seriously had potential, but sadly was marred by a less than ok execution and story-telling. If it didn't keep relying on it's lame gags and fan service, this would have been a good series.

I'll say is this : read at your own risk. If you want a mindless palate cleanser and an in-betweener, this works. Otherwise you can forget about it, because I can guarantee you, YOU WILL forget about it the moment you reach the last page.

Will I say it's better than the previous seasons? Absolutely not.
Would I say that most of this season was kinda boring, draggy and slow. Absolutely yes.
Will I say it serves no purpose to the story in general? Depends on how you look at it.
Many have groused that this season was the worst out of all the preceding ones, that it was boring, and drawn out. Even for someone who has read the manga, I already HAD expectations that it will be slow, and that there will be gratification after this arc concludes. But, I was pleasantly surprised with how they approached this arc, and
...
the treatment they decided to go with. They expanded on the story, included more "embellishments" and even managed to add more depth to the characters. It was nice to be able to see certain facets of some of the characters, and some of the light-hearted and pensive moments makes one even more poignant when one knows what's to come in the final arc of the story.
Also, all I can say is, if it's all action from season 1 to the end, then it actually makes for a meaningless watch, and I very much liked that there was a filler season like this before the big fight, as it actually allows one to breathe before engaging in the most intense arc of the entire series. It makes what's to come even more anticipated. So, to those who have NOT read the manga and who are watching the anime, maybe cut it some slack.
And to be fair, actually episode 8 more than makes up for any shortcomings this season had, in my opinion. That episode alone absolutely made me so damn glad I stuck by it the entire season.

Its as meh as meh can be. I have forgotten what its about and all its characters almost as soon as I finished watching it.
The premise was very appealing to me, since it's isekai and also since I had played healers in MMOs many a times. And it was quite funny and entertaining in the first couple of episodes. And then it got boring. And blah, and just eye-roll inducing. The characters were all so one-dimensional that they started to bleed into one another, the storyline felt like they just did not know what to do with it once they actually got people to start
...
watching, and the humour and comedy just started to feel forced and like they finally realise how boring the show was getting and they just absolutely had to throw in some jokes to try to make it entertaining.
Shame really, because it kinda started off decent. It just got so blah until I almost forgot I was watching this series and had to force myself to finish it.

Just. No.
I don't know if its the lack of focus, or the trying to be so many different things at once, or just not knowing what it wants to be in the first place, this totally gave me whiplash that practically left a bad taste in my mouth. Seriously more than half the time I keep asking myself what the f I am watching and what fresh hell is this? Is it a general trend now since most genres are done to death and throwing everything and the kitchen sink into a blender is the way to go with Japanese LNs and animes nowadays? Surely
...
they don't all think this is the best strategy to go by?
Actually, alot can be forgiven if there is actually clear direction of where the story is going or if its just hilariously bonkers, but what this anime lacks in spades is both direction and humour. Without those two in its favour, it basically just comes across as trying too damn hard.

Watched this on a whim, since I like slice of life and love shows that involve cooking, and I was immediately charmed.
It's a simple premise, with simplistic animation and a gentle storyline. Nothing too out of this world, or nothing too exciting. It was actually a good palate cleanser for one to watch before the next big thing.
And though the story and animation may be simple, the artwork for the backgrounds are gorgeous. So many of Kyoto's sights and landmarks are given a bright, colourful and breathtaking watercolour treatment that I found myself pausing a few times just to admire it.
As for the story, I
...
enjoyed and appreciated that we were given insights into the lives, dos and don'ts and the ways of living and working as a Maiko-san. So many eye-opening facts, and rules which they live by, and it even extend into the foods featured, and though they are not a heavy feature compared to the likes of Food Wars or Isekai Shokudou, they actually felt more like they were playing a part in the cast. I also liked the fact that each episode is divided into 3 vignettes and made it digestible, although I felt that 2 vignettes per episode would have made the stories more drawn out and fuller. The voice actresses also helped bring this to life, with their gentle, nuanced portrayals of the characters, and the music featured were charming as well, elevating and yet not overtaking.
All in all, I enjoyed this quite much. Its a good anime, with many elements in it's favour. The only little problem for me that discerns this good anime from a great one is rewatchability. Will I rewatch it again? I don't think I will. Be that as it may, I do think that one should still give it a watch, if one is looking for a feel good and charming show.

There's chill and there's boring. Don't get me wrong, I do like slice of life and isekai, and this felt very much up my alley. But 5 episodes in, I was always waiting. Waiting for something to happen, waiting for a turn to make it much more enjoyable. Just waiting. There is pleasure in the mundane and chill, but this was not it at all.
Characters wise, they were very forgettable and pretty much one-dimensional. There didn't seem to be much of a setup, and there definitely wasn't much in way of character development. And the plethora of characters thrown at you just seemingly melded and
...
bled into each other, with no distinctive distinguishing factor. Half the time I didn;t remember who a specific character was, where and when was he/she introduced, and the other half of the time I was wondering what function a specific character serves to the story.
As for the storyline, sure there were moments that stood out, and the emtional moments that stood out would have made it great, had it not been drowned out by other moments that were very much yawn inducing. I pretty much forgot what happened in that episode once the episode over. It was not memorable, just blah.
For me, an anime worth my time has to grab me and hold my attention, and make me want to just keep going until the wee hours of the night, and it has to make me want to rewatch it at certain points in time, and the excellent ones even had me rewatching immediately because they were just that good. For this though, I didn't have the motiviation to carry on watching, and I certainly did not feel like rewtaching it at any point in time, even if just to clear up any confusion I had.
Utterly forgettable and not worth the time, unless you had loads of time to waste.
