If you like fanservice, ecchi, a protagonist so overpowered that no one can possibly defeat him and a bunch of girls who fight over him, then you have gotten yourself an anime you might enjoy.
But, for people like me who want actual developement, plot and lovable characters, this anime is trash.
So. shall we discuss what makes this show so unbearable to watch?
**SPOILER FREE**
While I found the plot slightly interesting at first, the story was executed horribly. And I mean very horribly, this show is an insult to even those stories who have almost no plot to work with.
Here, we are introduced to our main protagonist,
...
Ayayto Amagiri, a boy whose mysticle powers are chained, meaning he has a (limited) usage of them, while others can use their own powers freely. He meets a girl named Julis, a violent tsundere whose past I cannot make sense of.
Of course, during their first meeting, he witnesses her changing and gets slapped (classic). After this, he fights her, wins, and automatically takes her place. It goes on like this, one by one, a girl is added to the harem, until he reaches the final stage.
Basically, that's all there is. OH, and the very irrevelant match between schools.
All that talk about his secret in the description is just that his sister is missing and it is never really revealed why.
Other than that, the characters are shit, I don't give any shits about the sound. The animation is alright and the art is pretty to look at. And thats it.
Do yourself a favor, and don't watch this. It's garbage.

I picked this anime up on a whim. The art looked pretty, and I wanted to watch something light-hearted with lots of humor. Mind you, this review is solely based on my opinion alone, It isn't related to the manga in anyway.
So, main question: Is this anime worth watching?
Well, the answer is complex. It depends on how you want the story to turn out. Lots of people have expressed their views on this anime, most of them liking how it turned out, while others wanting it to be a dark-toned anime, inspired from the dark manga. Inu x boku SS is an anime, that at
...
first glance, is seen as cheery. And, yes it is. It takes a different approach than the manga, being someone who read the manga after watching the anime, I see it as a light-hearted romantic comedy, with a few supernatural themes added here and there. If you like this genre of romance, then I guarantee you will like this anime, a lot.
The characters are outstanding, the art is amazing, the voice actors did an amazing job voice-acting and overall, the story is eye-catching and not cliche at all.
Give this a go, I promise it will not disappoint anyone who holds a strong liking for romance and supernatural anime. And those who have read the manga, this might seem okayish but give it a go, anyways. Who knows? You might enjoy it.

This might be a weird rating for a shounen-ai, but honestly I love this manga to death.
After having read seven days (I'm pretty sure you know it, it's very good and popular) I wanted to read something similar, something with a period of over some months or weeks and amazing character development. I wanted something light hearted, meaning: No loose plot threads, not much drama and overall giving me a cozy, fuzzy feeling.
Is this manga, just as I described above?
The answer is: Yes. This was recommended to me by a friend of mine, and I promise you, it will not disappoint.
Story: 8/10
The story/plot was
...
good when put into execution. It starts off with our protagonist, who is having trouble affording a place to live. The place he moves into was recommended to him by a friend and later moves in and meets his love interest. Honestly, the story got off to a rough start, with both the main protagonists having a shaky relationship to begin with, but the author came through. She manged to create a wonderful relationship with the two as time progressed. In the end, everything about the story amazed me, sometimes it was predictable but overall amazing.
Art: 9/10
Shounen-ai and yaoi manga usually have alright art, but sensei's art was amazing. The emotions characters felt, their feelings were portrayed on their face wonderfully. Though, sometimes it looked not much work was put into the backgrounds, but it didn't distract me from reading further on. You can see how her art progresses as she draws further on. Over all, I enjoyed the art a lot, even if some faults were found here and there. But, sensei never messed up the characters faces or anything, unlike in many other manga.
No characters (or 'random' characters) were drawn effortlessly.
Characters: 9/10
I loved the characters. In fact, they were who I enjoyed most. The supporting characters are nice, they share their own little story where they're together. In the end, I think it was really good how they bonded, how they changed and how supporting other characters were, and how they all were somehow, strict and laid-back at the same time. They were truly amazing.
Lastly, enjoyment and overall: 8/10
I recommend this to all fujoshis and fundanshis and even people who think they might not enjoy yaoi. This was overall a nice, average manga. It was a real treat to read. I loved it, and it's definitely re-read for sure.

This review will be putting emphasis on this story and it's sequel.
SPOILERS MIGHT COME UP.
So. what exactly is Koibitogokoro? Well, it's a little complicated to explain.
If you ask me to summarize this manga in three words, they would be:
Smut, smut and smut.
The thing I sometimes, dislike in yaoi manga is the way they portray the main characters. I'm sure you may have heard many good things about this manga, like it has a nice storyline etc. but the reason I gave it an average score is because it really doesn't have much good in it. Trust me, when I say this isn't that good. The
...
score of 6 is considered high for this manga.
Why did I give an average score to this yaoi manga?
This is me being nice and appreciating my inner fangirl. Because, believe me when I say FanGirl: this manga has a load of smexy sex scenes and kissing.
But, that's really all there is.
the storyline isn't very special. You may have seen this overused plot many times. And as usual, the seme (top) is overpowering and very rich. The uke is a waiter who takes care of this guy while he's drunk. The uke, as usual, is very cutesy and shy. The sex scenes are hot. But there is little to no character development. The only development I've seen so far is in the sequel but it is very minimum. The seme comes into the uke's house everyday, bangs him and gradually this so-called story of their 'love' blooms.
I liked the art a lot. The emotions are displayed just right on their faces.
Other than that, I still recommend it. WHo knows? maybe you might take a liking to it.
But for me, I think this manga needs a little work.

Normally, I like all anime that have something to present. For example, you give me a sibling romantic comedy, (even though I dislike such story lines) I will give it a good score as long as it has good, solid character development and a steady pace with nothing rushed going into it. Hell, I might even suggest it to people.
However, this anime is, to me, highly infuriating. People might critisize me for this review because I gave it a low score, however, allow me to explain.
Originally, I liked the anime's opening song. I liked it’s art, animation and character design. Let me remind you,
...
the protagonist, eromanga sensei [Masamune’s little sister] is a cutesy character and most people liked her because of her design. I admit, I did too. But, after watching this anime, I kinda pity her and don't like her as much as I did before starting this show.
I have no problems with cutesy characters — although, I prefer badass characters— so that isn't my main reason for disliking this show. I have several reasons as to why I hate this show, so much. Firstly, let's start with the abundance of adults in the anime. Middle Schoolers and highschooler’s don't have their parents taking care of their child. I mean, fine I can handle the sibling's situation. But, what about the teenager living next door to them? She lives alone, throughout the anime, there's not a even a hint of her siblings or parents or relatives taking care of her, by any sorts. Yes, she has a brother, but what kind of brother let's his sister (who BTW is of thirteen years old) live alone in a huge house, and live separately without him?
Secondly, these girls willingly lift their skirts up and let Sagiri draw their facial expressions, panties and etc.
Thirdly, the quote&; sibling romantic comedy "e; is no where to be found. The brother hasn't seen his sister for years and once she opens the door, they talk and after a few days he confesses his feelings for her?
Oh, and the probably the thing I hate most, is the fact that thirteen year olds talk about dicks, ask people to strip and the sister draws a hentai manga with a fucked-up dick.
Even though, this anime is supposed to be about Sagiri, she gets less screen time then supporting characters. We never see any character relationship build and don't see how anything progresses.
Overall, I hate this anime. I don't recommend anyone to watch this, it sucks.

I watched this anime because it was a suggestion given to me by a friend of mine.
A few months later it came out, I watched some videos on YouTube, that gave a little insight to this anime, before watching the anime itself. The minute I saw those videos, I clicked away from the anime. I disliked watching ecchi, since, almost all ecchi anime have dumb protagonists, weird plot-holes and a bunch of stupid shit that makes no sense. And to me, after watching those videos, I felt entirely the same.
Cut to a few months later (according to the anime's release, an year later) I
...
got annoyed of people talking such good stuff about it, that I decided to watch it myself, despite knowing that it was (going to be) completely horrible.
But, instead of finding myself annoyed, I found an extremely pleasant surprise. What this anime does best, is give itself interesting characters, and a captivating story line. Yes, the anime has ecchi, but not stupid characters. In fact, I believe, I liked all the characters introduced. Even the supposing
'love rival'. But, I think a character everyone liked while watching watching this anime was shiraishi.
I'm not one to give spoilers in anime, but unlike in other harems, the MC had a love interest, and this anime even tackled the problems faced in real-life relationships.
All in all, I think this was an excellent anime, give the manga a read and this a watch, you definitely won't be disappointed.

This anime sucked balls.
There is, for some reason, an abundance of female characters throughout the story. Everything is repetitive. I now wonder after watching this series, how I managed to cope with this. Every fucking gay man has a triangular face, the love interests i.e Misaki or whatever, looks like a five year old idiot who kept whining and complaining. Like, dude. If someone is assaulting or raping you, you need to kick them in the balls, punch their face and go home to tell your brother to break his friendship with him and report against him for sexual assault.
But, instead, he stayed with the
...
douche bag and eventually fell in love with him. After two major headaches and ten episodes later, they're still not an item. Like what the f dude?
THIS ANIME MADE NO SENSE, WHATSOEVER.

Now, before Fairy Tail fans ambush me with insults, I want them to at least hear me out.
Initially, I liked the series. It was comedic and fun to watch. But the comedy, that was pretty much why I liked the series so much. Other than that, nothing was very appealing to me. As I went through many sleepless nights watching the series, I felt the story or arc, was very repetitive, the jokes etc. all had been used before and didn't appeal to me as much as before.
Now, the story, could've been far better. The way I see it, the series could've incorporated
...
many different elements, possibly enhanced the series. But the problem was that the creators wasted a lot of episodes on the same idea. Enemies somehow appear, Natsu (the protagonist) would use his powers and still be completely obliterated and then after a long, inspirational speech, Natsu will get (somehow) stronger and blast his enemies off into space. This anime is given a lot of credit for stupid things. I absolutely hate how the show makes Natsu and Gray see Lucy's naked body and still not make one of them flush from embarrassment. The plot is connected through loose strings; each of them representing the same overused theme.
None of the characters develop and I feel as if the show is credited more than it should. The art is alright, I suppose, But I find the animation unsightly. Overall, this show wasn't my cup of tea, and I definitely don't support it being the best shounen series possible. Still, I would recommend it to ecchi and comedy fans, although, I don't think they'll find this very interesting.

After watching a few episodes of this anime, I have some mixed feelings about this one.
Firstly, when I think shounen ai, I think BL with a proper story and good character development. However, this anime failed to present these factors.
The story starts off with the main character, Masahiro and his past. How he coped with things and how he came to find his first friend. At first, I admit, i found this interesting. And thought it would differ from other foolish anime like Junjou Romantica ( sorry, yaoi fangirls, It's true) though, I thought his character was stupid, I also thought it would undergo development.
But,
...
the thing about shounen ai anime is that they never meet your expectations and instead of trying to deepen characters they make them do stupid things so that we end up hating them.
Four episodes have gone, with the first two episodes being completely foolish. They focus on supporting characters, who have very little connection with the main story. They show the supporting characters falling in love, and throughout these two episodes, you see very little of Masahiro. The third was a little better, but was still very foolish in my opinion.
In the end, this anime is just a good way to spend time, other than that, I don't think this will particularly stand out is just meant to be forgotten as some BL anime which wasn't very entertaining.

In simple terms, this manga is extremely easy to understand.
We have a quiet male protagonist, a popular girl who has a secret, each side character has their own role to be played out in the story; every character has a moral, a developed story line and above average refreshing personality.
Now, people who dislike this manga or have a strong hate for it have their reasons, i.e way too much side character development (I have to admit, it gets annoying sometimes) but the comedy totally makes up for it. Horimiya has something fresh to deliver, something not quite like other romance manga. It rarely has drama
...
and makes you feel connected to the characters. It has something that other romance manga fail to deliver. The eccentric father character in manga is extremely comedic and is the reason why the female protagonist is very powerful in terms if strength.
Now, at first, I too -- like many others-- got sort of irritated at the lack of romance for the first few chapters, e.g no one showing their feelings or getting a little red. Though, I assure you, there is a large amount of romance between the characters; in the beginning at well -- but soon enough, I came to realize that, the plot pacing was perfect, and there are several reasons to support this fact; in real life, no one would confess after a few months to some one they like/have fallen in love with. The romance for the next chapters increased and soon enough, It came to the point that the two started going out, the jealousy between the male protagonist and other guys is hilarious and all in all, this was a very light-hearted manga and it delivered the plot, story line and character development at a good pace. The female protagonist doesn't have a complex design, she is neither tomboyish, nor is she really girly i.e a pushover.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this manga and can't wait for the next chapters to come out. The other side of the female protagonist (the fact that she is a little sadistic) was a very good decision, and showed the fact that everyone has flaws. No one is perfect.
