The relationship in both shows is pretty similar. Both have an older male protagonist and younger female protagonist. The male protagonists of Inu x Boku and Koikimo spend their time assisting the girl with her problems, protecting her, and doting on her. Meanwhile the female protagonists of Inu x Boku and Koikimo argue with the guy, don't agree with his actions, but ultimately ends up appreciating his company. Inu x Boku has more supernatural elements than Koikimo, but I feel like the type of relationship the characters have is the same.
