Mixed Feelings
I gave this anime a try after looking at the art. I thought it was cute and the story looked promising.

Well, I won't exactly call watching this a big mistake, but boy did I have a hard time finishing it. The main character Himeko is so annoyingly dumb that I wanted to quit watching it by the 2nd episode. The only redeeming character for me was Na-Na and I couldn't understand anything that she said.

One good thing about this series is the opening song. It's catchy and I found myself singing and bopping my head to it.

But overall, I would have to say that it ...

Kokoro Library basically revolves around Kokoro who is named after the library she works in. Together with her two sisters, they work to maintain the library their parents left them even if hardly nobody ever comes there (since it's at the top of the mountain or something).

At first, I was bored by the series and was struggling to finish it. I'm glad I stuck through it until the end since the story progressed quite nicely as it went on. It may seem boring at first, but there is some humor in the episodes. Thing I didn't expect like obsessive sister love and robots kept popping ...

I won't get too technical about the series since there has been already a lot said about that. I would just like to say why I liked this anime very much.

First, it's has a good story. It has both serious plotlines and light moments, action and comedy - which were well balanced. One minute your heart is pounding with excitement then you're laughing over Souske's "army fanboy-ism."

Second, the characters are interesting: from the playboy sharpshooter to the teenage captain and even to the villain. My favorite, of course, would be Sagara Sousuke. I would describe him as sort of like Jack Bauer (of 24) or ...

Tonagura! (Anime) add
Tonagura! is basically an ecchi anime. There are a lot of fanservice and the requisite male character who always finds himself being slapped, kicked, and hit because of his perverted ways.

I like the premise of the story because it deals with a childhood friend and crush who the female character meets again. Trouble is - the person Kazuki remembers from her childhood is not the same as the one she is seeing now. But as the series progresses, you might become annoyed with Kazuki for her continuous (and sometimes unfair) abuse for Yuuji - who is just probably just a little bit more perverted than ...

If you\'re looking for a good cops and robbers / cat and mouse anime like Lupin the 3rd, keep looking - because even though this series is about a thief and a detective trying to catch her, the robberies aren\'t really what you will watch out for. In fact, I would describe Saint Tail as a love story or romance anime extended over 43 episodes. The thefts are merely a backdrop to the developing romance between Meimi Haneoka and Asuka Jr.

Meimi, of course, is Saint Tail and the young detective trying to catch her is her classmate Asuka Jr. You\'ll have to suspend your disbelief ...

Mixed Feelings
I\'ve always had a weakness for magic schools - like Harry Potter\'s Hogwarts. That\'s my main motivation for watching this anime. And who wouldn\'t want to be suddenly thrust into a magical world from a boring life, right?

The story\'s not as lighthearted as I thought. Immediately there are the ecchi elements and the political conspiracies that surrounds the characters. But other than that, you get what you expect: the marginalized boy and girl who suddenly become the hero and heroine, seemingly more than what they were initially shown to be.

Nevertheless, Zero no Tsukaima is a fine anime. Nothing too extraordinary, but not that bad either. ...

Like the name of the titular character, this anime is so sweet and cute that you will probably forgive any fault that you see in it.

The best thing in this anime is the characters. The fairies Sugar, Salt and Pepper are so cute, but not in the annoying way. Choro-sama, the elder fairy, will also make you laugh with his silly antics over his obsession with Ginger - a fairy obviously so much younger than him! Basil and Cinammon are also characters who, despite their bratty and rascal ways, will worm their way into your hearts.

And if you watched Card Captor Sakura, you just might ...

Dan Doh!! (Anime) add
Mixed Feelings
I just finished watching Dan Doh!! which is a 26-episode sports anime about golf. GOLF. Well...

The series is the typical prodigy story. A boy suddenly realizes he excels in the sport - so much that he is able to beat people who have been doing the same thing for a lot longer than he has. It helps that he has the backing of not one, but two, ex-golf pros. Oh yeah, did I mention that his father was also a secret amateur golfer who has unexpectedly (and still unexplainedly) quit the sport? Like we haven\'t seen that before.

Animation-wise, it was a bit old-fashioned for my ...
