Both stories deal with acting, interpersonal skills, and people who have lost an essential characteristic in finding self-worth and happiness. They all struggle to find themselves and their place in life. Skip Beat! has super cute moments when Kyoko's personality and quirks are larger than life and often give her strength when she lacks confidence, whereas Keito in Cat Street is much more mild and lost. Despite their dissimilar personalities, both girls make a name for themselves and become indispensable to their friends and coworkers.
