I've read 8 chapters at the time of this review. I don't have the "you must read more!!!" bias.

The initial arc is very strong. There is a huge sense of mystery and the characters in it aren't conveniently dumb. You might be reading this story and think "wait, but how about this?" and then you will turn the page and the characters will actually consider that option when trying to solve the mystery.

The start of the story has a good mix of supernatural stuff (ghosts and japanese demons, like Kappas and stuff) combined with real criminal investigation and you often don't know how much of ... which is contributing to an event or if the the story is about a crime, a supernatural phenomenon or both.

I don't know if it gets bad later on but if you are reading reviews just to see if it is worth starting to read this, it is. The beginning is good and you will probably not regret it. Also, I watched the first episode of the anime and it seemed to adapt the first chapter of the manga pretty faithfully so you can try that if you prefer anime but keep in mind that horror and monsters and stuff like that looks way better in manga form than in anime.
