Introduction:
“You are Ms. Servant” has a generic plot of a former assassin trying to be a “normal” girl while trying to detach from her past. She works as a maid for a 14 year old boy named Hitoyoshi and learns what warmth and love is. The story follows her as she navigates through a normal life.
Story:
The plot is alright, a pretty basic formula was used while writing this story. In the beginning, the girl (Yuki) saves Hitoyoshi from being isekaied and becomes his maid. The start was pretty engaging having potential for making this anime stand out from other slice of life animes but
...
unfortunately as the anime progresses, random twists are thrown in just for the sake of making something happen. A random female assassin is added who contributed pretty much nothing important after Yuki saves Hitoyoshi from her. There is barely romance despite it literally being tagged as romance! There are also mentions of Yuki or her actual name Xue’s past which are never really talked about except random flashbacks. The story also hints at how Hitoyoshi struggles with opening up due to his past and parent’s divorce, this is not talked in depth at all. We still don’t know what actually happened between Hitoyoshi’s parents. They frame the issues as something significant and just leave it like it is a trivial issue. Overall basic plot, with not well written backstory just makes the characters seem like they have zero personality.
Characters:
God…I have so much to say but I’ll keep it short talking about the two main characters.
Yuki- She is a pretty cute character with adorable expressions but that’s where the positives about her ends. I’m personally not a fan of kuudere characters so there might be a bias here. She is the clumsy yet badass yet dumb yet tactical maid saving Hitoyoshi’s ass every 2 seconds. She lacks depth and all she does is fail her chores *cutely*
Hitoyoshi- He pissed me off the most, he was pretty tolerable in the beginning having some sort of critical thinking skills but at the end of the show, bro became as dumb as a rock. I know he’s supposed to be a regular 14 year old kid but god he is such a wimp and a loser. He lacks the conviction to go through his decisions making the story seem stationary. The problem isn’t him being weak but he shows no determination or desire to work through it then becomes sad and frustrated when nothing is happening between them. His backstory (I talked about it above) isn’t given much attention which could have made him seem less like a one dimensional character.
Most of the characters have almost zero character development which makes the show seem like it is repeating itself every episode.
Animation/ Character Designs:
I do not have anything good or bad to say about the animation. It isn’t God tier like demon slayer or absolutely pathetic like seven deadly sins. The character design of Yuki was pleasant to see, I really loved her maid outfit and hairstyle. The female character designs were great with my fav being Grace. The men well…were okay, not really much to expect.
OP/ED:
Both the OP and ED didn’t really stand out much visually or musically. I did enjoy the ED more than the OP because of the better visual and piano.
Final thoughts:
Well I may have been harsh in criticising the characters but overall it wasn’t really a bad or good anime. It was just too superficiality written to be judged properly. It is definitely an anime to watch without thinking too much of it. I would give this anime a 4/10. Only redeeming quality is the facial expressions of Yuki tsk tsk.

Mashle season two was one of the anticipated seasons considering how enjoyable and hilarious the first season was.
S2 was able to maintain Mashle's whole image of not taking itself too seriously while also being a typical Shonen anime with Shonen elements. The characters designs are gorgeous especially of the Divine Visionaries and Innocent Zero. There were many scenes which made me laugh because of how crazy yet hilarious they were particularly the one of Mash breakdancing or the one where Mash makes a tennis racket out of a literal wand!?!? The fight scenes were exciting to watch, the fight between Mash and Macaron takes the
...
crown of the best fight of the season. Mash was a fun character to watch, he was the usual Shonen protagonist who is dense and simple minded but the author wrote his character in a way where it didn't feel overused nor boring.
Though the author made sure to write Mash in a way that was refreshing, the side characters weren't given the same attention. Lemon and Finn came off as very shallow and personality less characters whose only objective is to provide moral support to the protagonist. They didn't offer any real depth to the story and felt like NPCs. Other notable characters like Orter who only appeared on the screen to criticize or plot something against Mash which got boring pretty early on. The deuteragonist and tritagonist who were Lance and Dot respectively were also written in a lackluster manner. Kaldo, another divine visionary who seemed to have doubts on Mash just randomly changed his opinion and began supporting him when it was clear he held disdain for someone like him?
The pacing of this season was strange and inconsistent too, there were scenes where the pacing was too fast or some scenes (episodes too) felt like filler episodes. It was absurd how quickly the plot shifted from the divine visionary candidate exam to the innocent zero fight, we never got to see how the exam was going for the other candidates not even Lance's experience considering how important he is to the story. After episode 7-8, the pacing was too quick and didn't give the viewers the time to digest what's happening on the screen. There was a lot of unnecessary yapping in the middle of the fights when it contributed NOTHING to the plot, it was meant as some comedic relief moment but the timing was so off.
The season ended on a huge question, whether Mash will be able to defeat Innocent Zero who is supported by powerful allies who are at the top of the magic world? The chances are grim but Mash sure is hopeful.
In conclusion, season two definitely didn't hit the same as season one with the weird ass pacing and many plot holes not fully explained. I would give this a solid 6/10 as I appreciate how insane and wild some of the tactics and shenanigans of Mash were.

For someone wanting to read a psychological thriller with a revenge premise paired up with an unpredictable plot then Maria no Danzai is the manga for you.
Revenge mangas are nothing new to the scene but very few mangas centered around revenge are done right and it is safe to say Maria no Danzai is an example of the revenge trope done right. It follows a loving mother horrified after learning about the bullying and torment her son went through and loses all of her humanity and sanity to avenge her son's death, pretty standard opening right? However as the story progresses, the methods used by
...
Maria would leave you on the edge of your seat.
Maria's brutal methods combined with her manipulation is what would keep you hooked onto the manga. Her character is an intriguing one where the author did a good job of making us connect to her and sympathize with her grief while also reminding us of how merciless she is when it comes to revenge. Other characters particularly the main group of bullies were also made to be realistic and terrifying at the same time.
The art style really added to the disturbing nature of the manga by showing how terrifying Maria's revenge plan is and overall building the suspense. The progression is realistic and it is refreshing to see Maria not as some completely emotionless being devoid of a soul but a grieving mother underneath the sadistic and vengeful exterior.

Demon slayer is an anime which has divided the entire community, some hate it and some love it. Both sides are correct in their argument but everyone can collectively agree this season did not live up to the expectations set by the previous seasons. There wasn't enough build up to the fights and soon enough even the fights seemed boring. Muichiro and Mitsuri came off as such shallow characters which didn't feel human at all. Muichiro is the typical kuudere and Mitsuri, the bubbly pink haired girl, this is very very overused. Nezuko somehow gaining the ability to withstand sun came out of the blue
...
without any explanation. Another plot hole is the viewers coming to know Genya can eat demon flesh without turning into a permanent demon, the reason given was so vague and half hearted. How did Mitsuri and Muichiro gain their marks? The explanation is that they have to come into contact with a person who already has a mark but we know Tanjiro got the mark after a childhood incident NOT involving demons, it just doesn't make any sense. Mitsuri is a character who had potential but the mangaka did her dirty, she is a hashira so why was she portrayed as some weakling who can't even hold her ground against a literal demon but Tanjiro can even though he isn't a hashira??? The animation definitely carries the show to hide the fact that the writing is abysmal and boring.

The fighting scenes and animation are top notch but it's the only thing carrying it. The plot is predictable, the classic a family trying to live a peaceful life despite their violent past but end up getting killed and then the man avenges his family. The characters are shallow and the viewers aren't given any actual information about them besides vague mentions. There is no moment in the show where you're on the edge of your seat curious to know what'll happen next despite the fast paced action the show is trying to achieve, instead you would already figure out how the plot will maneuver

ruining the thrill of the whole show.
I am hopeful for the upcoming experience and the show would make up for the lack luster plot

This anime is a breath of fresh air from all of the generic fantasy animes about demons, elves, mages etc. The focus isn't on action but the adventure the three main characters go through and the lessons they learn. The characters are very well written with no unnecessary fan service or the general black haired main character. The pacing is very very VERY slow and rightfully so, it's easy to just sit back and enjoy the visuals in the anime without worrying about them getting attacked or worse. It is bittersweet and there are moments where you'll shed a few tears from the wholesomeness. Of
...
course there are some predictable elements but other aspects like character writing, animation, world building make up for it.
