I guess I'm writing this review after watching all 24 episodes after episode 1 of part 1 had me questioning whether Japanese people have actual history lessons that teach them about humanities wrongdoings around the world. But alas, it's a love story...right? Yeah I personally had zero of the nice heart warming doki doki slow burn moments I crave for when I decide to watch every new shoujo anime after I had my last doki doki longing. All of the male characters are shallow assholes, the main girl is - as described by the shallow assholes - a dumb scarecrow. You can definitely watch it ... if you don't want to think about the plot too much, which is going nowhere by the way. The ending is somewhat open yet leaves absolutely no room for interpretation on how the story could progress since the world building is so random and we only get the tiniest bit of it.

I do want to give one scene the MVP award: The scene after main girl gets abducted and one sugar baker goes "Why are you working??? And not saving her???" And another one answers "Bro we are bakers not soldiers are you stupid", and the initial baker realizes that he is actually just a tiny man with the statue of a 14 y.o. boy and so are the others and he agrees.

I watched tons of idol themed anime, and PriPara will hold a very special place in my heart after finishing it.

While the show/theme is aimed at a younger audience of girls, this anime shows genius jokes.
I myself don't perfectly speak Japanese, but I do understand enough to watch this show without subtitles. The show doesn't take itself completely serious, and this is what makes it that great!

I for myself love the plot with the main theme of 'friendship', the cute style and the incredible characters. The music might be repetitive to some people, but I loved listening to the great songs on the end ... of every episode, as it made me so happy. This anime is something to relax and have fun, seriously.

I wish more people would acknowledge these kinds of shows, as they deserve a lot of praise!
