This easy-going anime takes you to the daily struggle of Nozomu "Baka" Tanaka, who lives her nickname to the fullest, and her friends. The baseline story is pretty similar to the other slice of life anime that takes highschool girl as the protagonist, but this one has an enjoyable character development pacing and serves you with more relatable events. No cringe, boring, or cliche stuff. Everyday is a peaceful day.
As per for my subjective evaluation, I don't see any downside to this anime. I knew that I am going to complete watching this and be excited waiting to watch the next episodes after finishing one
...
since the first episode. I loved how they brings diversity in many forms even though the plot; Tanaka went into girls-only highschool yet still have strong (as in, exist, not literally) male casts which provides more option for the characters to interact with each other.
What can I say? I love peaceful shows including this anime. It is easy to go with.
I would recommend this Anime, especially for those who have completed watching/reading Nichijou, Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge, Asobi Asobase, or any combination of them.

If Trigger ever put all of their biggest animations on a box, Space Patrol Luluco would be that box.
Compared to most of Trigger's animation, this anime series are just a few and bite-sized, or in other words, it's only 13 episode and 8 minutes in duration for each episode.
Three words that can describe Space Patrol Luluco: Chaotic, Unexpected, and Wonderful.
I don't really go on the anime for the story though, but the story is understandable and interesting. Since this anime is bite-sized, it gets weird and weirder every minutes over the show.
The characters are just funny and lovely - apart of the other Trigger animation
...
that have crossover here.
You can find most of Trigger animation references throughout the series, like Kill La Kill, Little Witch Academia, Inferno Cop, and pretty much other minor ones, but it's you who up to find it.

Humans are cruel, aren't they?
Chito and Yuuri roams the unknown part of the dying earth in an unknown aftermath aimlessly. Scavenge rations, clean water, fuel, and other things then put them in the Kettenkrad - that's what you get when you mixed a motorbike with a german halftrack - and take the trip to nowhere. Chi and Yuu has no certain goal, but one each other is now the only thing they have left.
Let me tell you that i ever have a problem about depression and it might affect how i write this review. But i learned how to control my emotions right now so
...
my depression wouldn't really made me think to suicide though.
I personally think this anime is the best* anime that really criticize anything about, war, nature, environment, and... humanity, like friendship, love, empathy, compassion, and others. (*Best, based on the anime that i already watched). I was also surprised that Shoujo Shuumatsu Ryokou (Last Girls' Trip) is the only slice of life anime that drive my to tears after Nichijou (My Ordinary Life). both 10 for me. I could say this because that i only watch Slice of Life anime and i can distinguish diffrences between animes with the same genre.
I don't know if this is a spoiler or not, but in the end i consider it isn't, the only main characters are Chi and Yuu. And also, i will not spoil how many characters directly involved in this anime. Just imagine.
The places showcased in this anime generally came from the unknown culture of postmodern earth. No terrain or ocean is seen (except in imagination), and instead, the whole place is made out of metals, maybe steels, and concrete. The only things exists are stacked platforms. with a really tall gap between platforms. Since the whole thing is made out of metal and concrete, the colors you seen in the anime are dark camo green, gray, deep navy blue, and other set of really faded and grayish colors. Triggers your emotions.
There are 12 Episodes, and surprisingly the wiki (on Wikia) drew them into a world map based on Chi and Yuu's position on certain chapters. The duration took in the story (for the whole episode) is maybe just so long, because it changes season every one or two episodes. Or, maybe, it may be caused by the destroyed earth so the climate became abnormal.
Also, there is a part where you start to contemplate about humanity. The orchestra song Nocturnes, Op. 9 (Chopin) is featured there and make you really really ponder about it. If you are a Muse (British alternative rock band) fan, you know that the album "Resistance" really fit this anime, and especially because Muse also feature the slightly rearrange Nocturnes, Op. 9 named "Collateral Damage". I'm sorry if i had to explain things other than anime, but you gotta know that the whole album talks about war, nature, environment, and humanity. So if you already listened the whole album, the contemplation effect will be as twice as effective for this part.
I get depressed beyond that point. However, the relation between Yuu and Chi will heal you eventually.
There are several points that i used to distinguish whether a Slice of Life anime is good or not:
> Slow Paced : YES (i mean, like, there nothing in this anime that will scare you to death by a sudden, shocking transitions that possibly triggers epilepsy or heart attack.)
> Emotional: YES, especially the last ep.
----> ... Suspense : YES
----> ... Tears : YES
----> ... Elated : YES
> Good Songs : Overall, YES
----> ... BGM is slow paced too: YES
----> ... BGM is overall voiceless : maybe yes. Most of them are only hums though.
----> ... Memorable OP and ED: YES for both.
> Good Story: Overall, YES
----> ... Great and structural character building in the first episodes: YES
----> ... Logical: maybe yes. Nobody knows how post-apocalypse looked like.
----> ... Continuous : YES.
----> ... Good ratio of for the portion of the number of characters to the plot: YES
----> ... Plot Twists : few, but good.
----> ... Arguable conflict: maybe yes.
----> ... Surprises: You really think i am going to say it?
> You find yourself is attached soo deep in the movie: OMFG YES.
Thanks for reading.

If you are the person who looking for slow-paced anime, then this is for you.
Back in the late 2017, my friend who knows if i only watch anime with the genre of Slice Of Life recommend me this anime. However, due to my business i cannot watch it until it is Match 2018. After i watched the anime, now i know why my friend really rushed me to watch this - This anime really describes what "Slice Of Life" means.
Other than the point i mentioned before (slow-paced), this anime will give you the feel of being so tranquil and peace. From the BGM to the
...
characters itself, they deliver conflicts in without having to make any audio or visual riots like panic BGM or Flashing screens. Instead, they use silence for it, especially the awkward scenes - you get the climax, your hands itch knowing you can only watch and cannot involve yourself directly in the anime, and you get all the excitement guessing what is going to happen next.
The characters are well developed without any nonsense like traps or sexually attractive imouto - I don't like animes including that even though it is a Slice of Life. The character promised in the title "Tanaka-kun is Always Listless" is just perfectly... lazy as promised, i know it is odd to feel super excited caused by this character. I won't spoil much, but the character types in this anime is just so various, and worked harmonically with the listless Tanaka. Tsundere and imouto are included.
This will be one of Slice of Life animes i will never forget, but this never beats Nichijou. Unlike Nichijou, i didn't hope any more season from this anime since the ending is already perfect, pretty hanging but making any extensions would make the ending in this first season weird.

Smile, Sweet, Sister, Sadistic, *Insert something about your sad life and starts with an 'S'*
Since the meme outbreak using the only iconic opening of this anime, i am starting to question that this anime might be a good deal to be watched. Yes, i watched this because of the memes.
To be honest, i always drop all anime that is not a Slice of Life. And luckily, the anime has the tags and survive my picky behavior. But it is not the Slice Of Life i expected like Nichijou or Tanaka-kun Wa Itsumo Kedagure, i get disappointed a little bit because romance and slapstick is also
...
the main portion.
I liked the character development, especially on Sakuranomiya Maika as the main character. It made the story better, even more with the other characters with different personality.
The pace is pretty fast for me that things happen spontaneously.
The only thing i don't really like is how it ends (like, boom, ending in sudden.) and my dropped expectations about slice of life.
