Personally I prefer this movie over the first MHA movie.
Things to know, Whilst technically this movie isn't canon it could be as it was supervised by the creator of MHA and takes place at the end of Season 4 part 1 (volume 18 manga, though i've not read the manga).
Also the creator of MHA stated that this was going to be potentially the original ending of MHA and it doesn't disappoint.
All the characters of class 1-A get a time to shine in one way or another.

Im writing this from memory to see how much impact it made on me.
So If you can get past the first few episodes and the animation quality you're in for a treat. The supporting cast is excellent whilst the MC is on the weak side you do see genuine effort to improve and it helps shows how strong other characters are. However this anime also demonstrates a keen awareness in teamwork. The best part of this anime is the Rank wars in which 3 teams of 3 fight in different terrains and weather conditions to try and win and you see various tactics and strategies ...

For those of you looking for a deep story this is not the film for you. This is more like a short comic book story turned into film.
As an anime and and DC fan It was exactly what I expected from the trailer. The film takes place in warring states japan era, but takes the technology known from the other characters to create a wild and wacky buildings. The film understands its a DC film but also that its an anime giving references to others. The joker in the film is done very well and is exactly what you would expect. Best advice is ... |
