If you liked
Homunculus

...then you might like
Ressentiment

While both these titles are different in tone, in content, and in the characters they portray, there is an overall message, an exploration of the human condition, that motivates me to make the suggestion that someone who liked "Homunculus" by Hideo Yamamoto would also like "Ressentiment" by Kengo Hanazawa. While Ressentiment attempts to look at our experience as people through the lens "unreal," "Homunculus" does so through Nakoshi-san's power of sight. Both try to look past the superficial, artificial even, covering that we as a society put over ourselves, and delve into what motivates people, what makes them happy, and whether we can ever really accept love when it is offered. Overall, they are both quality mangas done by two award winning mangaka so you cant go wrong. Taken at face value, these may seem like different stories, but in reality they are each trying to answer the same questions about the human experience.
