Story
It starts with an interesting concept of bugs giving humans powers at the cost of their dreams. There are two groups, one that use their bugs to kill any bugs they find, and another group trying to make a home for everyone that have bugs.
Art/Sound

Character
The most interesting character was Asami Minagawa who is a supporting character that isn't a part of the light novels, which explains why she disappears once her part was done. She had the most development of the series other then Shiika.

An anime about combat enabled by singing power in a similar fashion as AKB0048 with some drama that worked fine in a short 13 episode series.
Story 8/10 Points taken off for minor plot holes and a few eye rollers. Every battle had a clear reason as why the Noise is attacking which much more enjoyable then a series forcing a battle every episode ending with the bad guy retreating and attacking the next episode. The glaring flaw in this anime is that very little is explained. Climate change caused the world to flood... but how? Did the Fleet of the mist cause it? Fleet of the mist...what are they? were did they come from? what are they doing? nothing is explained. Some touching moments if it was not already known that the Fleet of the mist were basically invincible.
The CG graphics were fine some of the time, but looked clunky too often to say it was well done. The characters are fun to watch, though sometimes over the top. A bit annoying that one second they are trying to ... |
