This will of course contain heavy spoilers.
The story follows a 16 year old called Denji who inhereted a huge ammount of dept from his step father at a young age.
Given that all he did is work odd jobs and hunt devils with his sentient chainsaw for the Yakuza to get rid of said dept he lacks both a formal education and social skills.
His entire motivation is:
A) paying of his dept
B) getting layed
Then the Yakuza betrays him leaves him for dead and his chainsaw fuses with him.

Are you following the story so far?
Good
... cause now the weird shit starts.
Free of his shackels cause the Yakuza think him dead he gets abducted by a lady in a suit.
She soon learns how his mind works and uses her sex appeal to take control of him.

Then he nearly dies in a quest to rescue a cat from a demon. His motivation?
A college of his promises him to let him touch her boobs if he does.
H beats devil A and after he runs out of steam gets nearly killed by devil B who happens to show up, just to get rescued by his colleges.
When he signs the report of this incident the boss lady gets him to admit that he wanted to touch boobs and that this was the cause of his solo mission.
What does she do?
Rigth she teases him and lets him touch her boobs.
He is a minor and for all we know this lady is in her mid 20s to early 30ties.

Then his next motivation is a kiss from another way older women(college B) in his unit.
They complete the mission and the whole team including the boss lady drink a ton of beer.
Remember, this guy is a minor.
Then college B kisses him when both are drunk asf, pukes into his mouth infront of all present and latter offers him to have sex with her.
Once again, this kid is under the influence of alcohol for the first time in his life AND A MINOR.

His last motivation in season 1 is to have sex with the boss lady if he can kill the gun demon(the big baddy pulling all the stringes in the background).
Again this guy is a minor.

The MC mistakes regular human kindnes from women with them comming on to him and his whole social circel leans into it to use him as a battering ram against devils.
Pretty fucked up if you ask me.
No clue what went wrong with the author.
To quote a friend of mine: CSM is suffer porn.

If they follow the manga he will keep getting sexually assaulted over and over again.

That said, I can not exacly recommend this, as some parts are hard to watch but won't think less of anybody watching it cause it has it's own appeal, as the worlds magicsystem is intricate and has its own charm and the animation is pretty good.

So far the second season has yet to find a focus; the fights and animations are pretty as usual.
The anime as a whole kinda lacks a story and is a string of very well animated fight scenes.
We have yet to return to the "plot" of the first season and have no clear motivations for the big bad guy besides
him wanting to take over the worlds with curses.

That said we got some more characterisation for Goro in the first 3 episodes, time which could have been spent on developing the mc who desperately needs some, just to and that was a pretty good plot twist kill ... him off.

The star something something vesel they tried to protect got killed too.
Both these deeds were done by sorcerer killer that is physically strong and lacks any curse energy. Intruoducing him by killing off goro builds him up to be the next main antagonist and I hope we will see some more off him before he too gets killed.
