As much as i enjoy my brainless, self-insert Korean power fantasy slop, I just can't see myself recommending any of them to the average person.
It doesn't help that this manhwa seems like it is writing off a checklist. It's not unique, it's just a degenerate self-insert comic with a black-haired protagonist (but he has red eyes so he's cool and edgy and gets all the bitches), and it is, well, slop.
I'm really tired of well-drawn manhwas having such boring stories. It's all so similar that i could probably data scrape each one to an AI and have it write a best-seller.
Nonetheless, let's break it
...
down, bit by bit.
Story: 4/10
I'm taking off a point here for lack of originality.
In my reviews, I base all Isekai and Reincarnations/Regressions off the comparison to, what I see as, the perfect 8/10 power-fantasy manga: Mushoku Tensei. It is an excellent example of an overdone trope done right. Super powerful mc, but he faces hardship. The worldbuilding in Mushoku Tensei is, well, amazing. It's an original thought that translated beautifully onto paper. It is objectively well-written.
Now how does this compare to that manga?
In terms of the plot, it's not awful, but it's not good either. it's the epitome of basic. It's a cliche story that can be summed up in its title and in this sentence: "Youngest son of powerful family is stabbed in the back by super powerful comrade #1 and then he gets sent back in time while wishing he did something different." Like please change it up a bit.
MC has not developed much like at all by the end of season 1, except he apparently can't keep his values straight and is starting to question if he wants to kill Super Evil Former Comrade-now-antagonist #1.
Some people praise the "factions" idea as original, but it's not. They're basically just the human version of orc-clans that weren't dived into super well. Also one of the villains is literally Senku from doctor stone.
Essentially, this manhwa isn't original. It's pretty, I'll give it that, but the story is just so basic that reading stuff like this, and many others like it, have reached a point of feeling like a CIA advanced interrogation tactic.
Characters: 3/10
The main protagonist is your typical, revenge-obsessed super powerful sigma edge lord who gets hoes left and right by being cool and mysterious. I'm tired of this trope. Nobody likes people like that in real life. It's laughable how overdone this trope is. But hey, the girls are hot I guess.
Side Characters, I'mma keep it real, they fucking suck. My god they are all cookie-cutter personalities with no character, and their backstories are, half the time, nonsensical when it comes to how they convey themself. I'm a firm believer that history builds character, but in this case, history doesn't fucking matter and the only thing that does is whether or not they're a girl, in which case they want to eat MC's cock, or they're a guy, in which case they want to kill the MC.
Villains, I'm not sure who the villains are. I guess it's the demons? It feels like the author ran out of ideas past chapter 50 and just decided, fuck it, lets put demons in there too cuz because I need to milk this genre for all it has. There wasn't any foreshadowing of their presence at the beginning, either. It truly is the ultimate ass-pull to extend this money making machine.
Art: 9/10
Absolutely beautiful art. Only saving point of this series. Redice studio, despite the fact that i despise the story of everything they make, is excellent. If the art wasn't good, this shit wouldn't have anyone's attention. Plain and Simple.
Summary:
Cliche, overdone manhwa with a tropey protagonist and story that I am sick of reading, but knowing myself, I will just pick up another manhwa just like it because it's literal nicotine. I can't stop reading it even though I know it's awful. Can't wait to read the next "Youngest (Or oldest) Bastard Sigma Son Regresses with Semen Powers after Dying to Ultra-Mega-Brain Villain" that Redice will be drawing next!
If you are considering reading action manhwa, this is a surefire way to get you disillusioned with the industry. Stay. Away.

This creation cannot be summed up in a few words. No, this absolute magnum opus of garbage requires much more dedication to truly unwind the intricate fabric of absolute cinema that has been created by some random homeless guy in a Korean Walmart
Whether it be the comically bad characters, the yakuza-esque villains who seem like fragments that make up a greater Goro Majima, or the main character who is so fucking pathetic that it actually makes me wretch whenever I see this man try to talk to the female lead, this show is anything but good, or even serviceable.
But, despite all of this, I can't
...
stop watching.
It's like a dumpster fire on the side of the road, no I can't even label it that, its an atomic bomb dumpster fire that has transmogrified into a cursed entity that forces you to keep on watching.
Its so shit that it has transcended the medium of shitty film, and reached a level of mid-2017 Nicholas Cage garbage that I can't help but tune in to watch every week.
I could write a review that goes into the depths of this show, but that review would be longer than the script of One Piece. It is so complex, so confusing, and just so shitty that I implore you, dear reader, just go watch it for yourself and witness this filth for yourself.
If, by rare chance, the author ever reads this, I salute you, sir, you have created such magnificent slop, slop that I will slurp up like a slop monster. Thank you.

Throughout heaven and earth, no other show has ever made me want to pull out my eardrums and rub bleach into my eyes more than this show has in the span of an hour.
I'll be separating this review into 5 parts: Story/Characters, Hatred (score of my hatred for the show), Orchestration, Theme, Animation/Art. Which conveniently spells SHOTA, the main character of this show. (I forgot all of their names.)
Story: 1/10
Despite the title, this show is not an isekai. It would never be the same as something as GENERIC as isekais. It's so unique, that it It has surpassed the isekai medium, oiled up, and
...
dolphin dived, with a flip included, into a flaming pile of garbage. To explain this uniquely shitty show in Layman's terms, this is about some guy who reincarnated into the same world, and has a Joe Goldberg level of obsession for magic. That's all.
The plot simply doesn't exist. The show follows an episode of the week format. There is no challenge, no stakes, nothing. I even went out of my way to read the manga reviews, and apparently stakes do eventually rise, but it won't be in this current season. The author must be having an identity crisis.
Let's take a look at the characters
TSD characters are introduced in very simple ways. MC goes to random place. MC meets random character (most of the times its a 20+ year old woman). MC is then introduced in that classic shoujo panel where they look like Chico Lachowski on a catwalk. Character proceeds to call the 10 YEAR OLD BOY Hot.
Couple Examples: The maid. the maid is the first female lead introduced, and like all characters, likes kids. Not in like a mother-ship kind of way either, its implied in the show that she is genuinely attracted to the 10 year old boy. Weird.
Another example: the 23 year old martial artist introduced in ep 3. It's not shown in the episode, but when MC leaves her in the dungeon to go play house with the maid, he eventually runs into her AGAIN and she thinks the 10 year old boy, who she is apparently not able to recognize is the mc (he cast transformation magic on himself) has a "hot boy" aura. MC is clearly carti.
Hatred: 12/10
Satan is real and he wrote the show.
I don't think I have ever hated any show more than this one. It was so bad it was painful. I'd rather watch the 1st Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey film 10 times in a row than sit through an episode of this. I was so miserable I can't even put it into words, and I won't.
Theme: 0/10
There isn't a moral of the story to it, there isn't a purpose. Unless the viewer wants to be the 10 year old, then the purpose is fetish-bait.
Orchestration: 5/10
I had to go back to listen to some of the music because I genuinely didn't even hear it. The opening and ending are safe, that's all I have to say. Nothing groundbreaking like SPECIALZ or memorable like the openings for Mushoku Tensei. Action sequences are supported by an instrumental theme, but stay pretty quiet throughout as there is a lot of dialogue in the fights that doesn't allow for music to shine through at all. Overall, mid.
Animation/Art: 8/10
I have no idea which detention center they went to when they got their animation team together, but these guys are good. It's honestly the only positive part of the show. Animation is done with creativity in mind, and action is approached with an open mind. You can tell that whichever fucked up director or animator made the action sequences put passion and effort into it. They must have worked on Hentais previously because there is no way a normal person could put any effort into this show.
Ending Appraisal: 1/10
I'm aware that my math isn't very good here, but this show failed in an essential way: Entertaining me. Every second I watched it felt like 5. I never thought I could stretch my mouth as wide as I did until I cringed at the dialogue in this show. At the end of it, my face was sore, my eyes were baggy, and I could see acne forming on my back from stress. This was an experience, that I never want to experience again. Dogshit.
Edit: I have been informed (I watched episode 4) that this show isn't an isekai. Personally, I think it's much worse. Nonetheless, I changed part of the "Story" scoring section. +1 point for originality!
