Quite disappointed with this manga. I was very excited when I got this as a present but after a few chapters in, the story started to drag and I wasn't really "scared" with the bizarre occurrences of the town. Rather, I found everyone's' unfortunate luck to be... unfortunate.

Most of the time, every chapter had me thinking "oof, too bad you have been consumed by the spiral" instead of having me exclaim in disgust or anguish. The only ones that did make me uncomfortable and had me sitting in my spot thinking about what had just happened were 'Jack-In-The-Box" and 'The Umbilical Cord'.

The art is amazing ...

This is a bit of a fun and entertaining read, if you are able to overcome the awkward and uneasy interactions between Polar Bear and Lil' Seal. It is funny how they first meet and the awkwardness that goes between the both of them, but because of Polar Bear's HUGE desire to be Lil' Seal's partner and to eventually "marry him" in the future (it is suggested that Lil' Seal is not mature enough to marry, thus still a child), it can give off an uncomfortable feeling. Polar Bear's behavior gave me... predatory vibes (no pun intended) towards Lil' Seal.

The story was going amazing for me - romance, comedy, drama and everything you would like in a romance, SoL manga. Our main characters are very interesting, the way their relationship is progressing (maybe a bit puzzled at some quite fast-paced instances but story still great!) is a nice change from other romance manga, and the side characters are great as well... until Ch.50.

In Ch. 50, something major happens between Morimiya and Hori which makes you excited for what's to come, yet the manga begans to slowly drift away the attention from them and starts to focus mostly on the side characters. By Ch.70, ...
