Badminton is such an obscure sport only an anime will tell a story about it. Hanebado tells a story of a high schools girl trying to figure out her relationship with her mom and the sport of badminton. One unique element about this show is that the main protagonist acts like the main antagonist against the supporting characters.
The characters in the show are single minded. It seems each of the characters are trying to sabotage each other or just doing badminton individually in an unhealthy way. It was hard to sympathize for the main character or the supporting characters.
The sound was pretty good. The sound
...
of the swish was smooth, and the hitting of the shuttlecock was authentic. Plus, the music played well in the atmosphere of the show.
The animation was the best part of the show. The way it goes in detail of how the shuttlecock are hit is breathtaking.

Shichisei no Subaru feels like a show that is trying to copy Anohana, but in a mmo setting.
The main characters at the beginning of the show were six friends playing together in harmony until one of the six members dies, then they broke apart. Eventually the emergence of the dead member in the game starts the adventure of the story of the main character, Haruto, who to tries gather up the gang back together. Some of the members of the six friends felt a poor version of the characters in Anohana.
The setting for the show is generic, it does not differentiate from other
...
anime game’s setting. They should have added some unique gimmicks to the setting in order stand out from alternate
anime’s environments.
The music and animation is bland, but not terrible.
Overall, a very lame ripoff of Anohana in a generic rpg setting.

When the first episode came out, most people were ambivalent to the series since they thought it was going to have the same style as the Soul Eater anime, but it did not. I only read the manga and I did not watch the anime. However, I found the series to be enjoyable as it focused more of the slice days of life than rather than action
Plot
The main character Tsugami has been chosen to go to Soul Eater Academy since she can turned into a weapon. There she meets two meinster candidates in which she has to choose one of them to be her weapon
...
master. The rest of the series focuses on daily lives of those three plus more character development for some characters who did not get that much in the main soul eater series. Plus, it seems that there is a mysterious enemy brewing trouble in the academy.
Characters
You got the optimistic girl Tsugami, tsundere princess Anya, and a forgetful girl Meme. These three girls form a tight relationship as they sleep in the same dorm and work together. One of the main problems that Tsugami has that she has to choose a meinster candidate either from Anya or Meme. It is a tough choice since they become really good friends over the course of the series, and it gets harder and harder for her to choose, as one of them is going to go let down. Some of the original Soul Eater characters get a cameo like Moka. Another unique thing is that some of the side characters from the main series get more character development and more screen time in this series. We learn more about them more in this series before the main story Soul Eater comes later.
Sound
I loved the Op of this series. It gives the watchers a good senses of what the series is going to be, a lot of fun, but a sense of danger.
Animation
The animation has been fairly standard, and nothing too crazy from the original Soul Eater Anime. However, there could have more action scenes, and action could have been better animated. I found the character designs unique and resembles the wackiness of Soul Eater Not!
Enjoyment
In all, I found the series to be really enjoyable. Some of the negatives I found was that the the main antagonist could have done more in the beginning and not everything at the very end. The show went very lighthearted to some grim moments at the end. Otherwise, it has been a good ride.

This anime was on my target list ever since I heard it was coming out, the L.N. author who wrote Outbreak Company which I greatly enjoyed, also wrote this adapted L.N.. What I liked about Outbreak Company is that it had some cleverness when describing otaku culture, and I was hoping it will bring the same cleverness to Hitsugi no Chaika with its “after war setting”. Well, it kind of did. Even though it did not live up to my expectations in that way, it did bring me a fun simple engaging story with a lot of cool action scenes
Plot
The plot of this
...
anime is about two saboteurs that are now living civilian lives after fighting in the Great War. The main protagonist has find little motivation to do civilian work, so now he lives like a bum, while his brother-loving sister does all the work. A girl named Chaika comes into town, and she needs help in carrying out a mission. The two saboteurs go with this girl on her mission. As they traveled, they witness many people who were warriors during the great war, but now find their skills useless during peacetime.
Characters
The characters in the series can be a little stale, often their personalities are one dimensional. You get characters like the incentrous sister, a character who wants to fight, and the one word speaking Chaika. I found the enemy captain trying to capture Chaika’s to be the most interesting since he questions of what he is doing correct
Art
I found the animation to be average, a little underwhelming. The studio Bones has currently has three anime they are doing concurrently this Spring anime season including this one, and it seems that Chaika got the short end of the stick when it comes to animation budget. Even though the animation could be a little better, the action scenes were fairly consistent and the animation was doable. The best part of the animation is the sudden scenes of violence.
Sound
I found the opening to be a little bit uninspiring, but the Ending song was a little bit better. The background music was fairly consistent when switching from action to leisure.
Enjoyment
In all, I found the show enjoyable. The beginning of the show can be a little slow, but as time passes on the show gets better and better. Also the show is simple enough for that it does not have any useless side-plots. The show ends pretty dramatically at the end, and I cannot wait for season 2.

I still cannot believe that nobody reviewed Yureka yet, it is such a good manhwa . Well basically
Yureka takes place in the future of Korea in which the online game called Lost Saga is the most
popular MMORPG at that time. The manga starts slow, but gets really good after a handful of chapters.
Character
. The lead character Jang- gun is one of the better players in Lost Saga. He could be a bit
arrogant, but his quick- thinking and strategic thinking makes him one of the tougher opponent to beat, Yureka is a mysterious girl in which you learn more about her as
...
the story progresses.
The author has introduced a lot of characters into the story, and does a pretty good job in having
the fact that each of the characters play some role in the plot of the story. The characters is really
one of the most strongest aspects of the story. Since it is a MMORPG, each character is a part of
a class or classes. One of the things that the author does is pitting characters against other. The
battles themselves are just who has the strongest spell or items, each character has his or her style
fighting in which these styles clash when they fight. It often leads to some exciting battles, but
I have to say 60% to 70% of the manhwa is filled these kinds of battles. So be prepared, but the
battles are exciting and the character’s themselves have their own beliefs and ego in which they play which adds enrichment to the story.
Art
I am not myself an art critique. The art is really good, but nothing fantastic.
Plot.
Like I said earlier, there is going to be a lot of player(s) vs. player(s) battles, but I feel that each
battle adds some kind of character development to each of the characters which adds to the plot.
Well the plot itself is basically about the mysterious character Yureka and the future of Lost Saga
in which they are going through some big changes. As you read the plot gets bigger and bigger, however there are some darker elements that arrive later in the story that adds some depth overall to the entire story.
In conclusion, I think Yureka is an enjoyable MMORPG which has many interesting things
about the story. Unlike another story like cough..(SAO), I feel that the characters have real
feelings and have real society impact. It is basically a serious and more realistic SAO.
