This is prime example of why middle aged men should consider not writing women's- and more importantly LITTLE GIRL's- perspectives.
Translation may be an issue why this read felt so clumsy, but there is no mistaking that the author, Shin Takahashi, was totally clueless about how young women actually think and obviously was in no position to write such weird coming-of-age stories from their perspective. The four stories came off as non-sensical, delusional, and perverted.
