Mixed Feelings
Despite being a POV anime with a good chunk of fanservice at the end of each episode, Room Mate is an enjoyable anime that embraces the POV format. This one in particular reminded me of a visual novel with how it structured each episode. The story is simple and light, nothing to keep anyone up at night.

The character art is unique and quite stunning which was my original pull towards the anime. The animation is also very well done though that might also be due to the short run time per episode.

Kakegurui×× (Anime) add
Going into Kakegurui XX I was very excited because of how much I enjoyed the first season. However, while overall Kakegurui XX was a good anime, it did trip up more than season one in some pretty major ways.

The first issue I found with this show was how insane the gambling became. The puzzles and tricks become so complicated that you would need a graphing calculator to solve. Or they flat out don't give enough information for the viewer to be able to solve the puzzle/gamble. Season two tried so hard to one up the gambles on season one that it fell flat on it's ...

Tsumiki no Ie (Anime) add
"Tsumiki no Ie" or "House of Small Cubes" is a short, 12 minute story told with no dialogue what so ever. Through simple grunts, sound effects, and beautiful music, you will fall in love with the little man and his pipe. The art style is "non-traditional" but that shouldn't turn you away. If you've seen Western shows like "Making Fiends", you may actually get a small sense of nostalgia from the simple style. Sound was this anime's top priority, as the music, and the water sound effects kept me glued top this. You travel with the little man through his past as he goes further ...
