Pandora Hearts is one spectacular work. Honestly, just from watching the anime a few years back, I really didn't appreciate it that much, except for the songs, probably.
Searching one of their osts in youtube (Everytime You Kissed Me) made me recall the anime, and it urged me to read the manga as I've read other people's comments that truly intrigued me. Watching the anime wasn't really enough. Reading the manga was a whole different thing. It felt more real, more complicated, but overall satisfying.
As the anime pointed out, it centered on a tragedy that happened 100 years ago. In the manga, it really swept things

to various depths, many twists that truly have twisted the minds of the readers. The characters took their time and grew one by one, trying to earn their place in the story, trying to find out who they really were. It truly was a magical ride, full of ironies and complicated things that almost drove me insane, myself. But nonetheless, it was a meaningful ride. Characters would deceive you, the plot gets wicked as you move from one chapter to another, a handful of "loyalty" to one's master could get anywhere, circumstances wherein you set aside your principles and consider your surroundings, simple things like that made the story worth reading.
Overall, the plot and the characters were really amazing, making the story worth recalling and re-reading just for the simpl3 flush of emotions you get with every chapter. Totally one of the best mangas ever. The author really did a splendid job with this!
