So... Love in teenage years itself is such a rollercoaster, but it's way more complicated when you fell in love with someone of the same gender as you.

Sasameki Koto has a personal appeal for me, because I see myself in Sumika. I discovered this work when I was discovering myself as a person who likes another person without caring about gender, and at the same time I was in love with some girl that I knew she would never look at me the same way. So, even with the rushed ending, Sasameki Koto means a lot to me. It ... helped me understand myself as I am: A tall sapphic with an angry face, but with a butter heart. Just like Sumika!

Anyway, I liked the comments about prejudice against queer people (even if it was way too superficial, it's not common to see in a manga). Was just good to read, I know it has its problems, but I can't ignore my personal feelings while I'm writing about this. Sasameki Koto just means a lot to me, Murasame Sumika helped me a lot to accept myself as I am. I'll carry this manga forever in my heart.

"Sounds: Chinese" really?

This is a chinese piece. There will be elements from chinese fantasy movies just like super coreographic fights, a lot of chinese mythology, traditional chinese soundtrack and that's okay! All of this elements make sense here! Even if we pause the episode a few times to see what some terms meaning, that's okay, it's another culture.

I wasn't expecting anything great because I didn't like the dorama, but I was suprised here. The animation quality - I really don't care about a bunch of 3D, that's OK to me because its well done in the most of time - the soundtrack was perfect ... for its purpose, the voice acting it's absolutely perfect.

The character development is nice, easy and, of course, there is some exageration, but it's an animation. Isn't a problem in anime, shouldn't be a problem in a donghua. But some history parts seems rushed. I don't know if this is because I watched half of the 50 episodes dorama and my brain are just comparing or if this is real, but I'm writing here anyway.

The character design is the pretty same for male ones, not ugly, but they looks the same beside the clothes and hair differences

In the end of the day, I still loved it.

Well, I think I would like it more. Or I was just with the wrongs expectations.

The skating part was great, the idea from showing characters' stories while skating was AWESOME! But it didn't worked with the main skaters here (Yuri and 'Yurio'), the most important characters didn't have much to show us, just "I will show my love" and "Watch and see you moron". The conection between Yurio and his grandfather was barely explored and Yuri... Yuri has a crush on Victor.

Victor reasons to coach >exclusively< Yuri was just... Really? Was just that?

The relationship between Victor and Yuri developed as a bad writing fanfic wrote by Yuri's mind. Come on, the main characters, give us some substance. I don't care about kisses being censored, but I care about a decent and solid reason to stay happy with to characters being together as a couple.

Story: (4/10)

In the beginning the anime started with a nice energy, not taking itself to serious. Let's be honest, nobody was expecting a really serious mecha, just a cool anime with nice battles. But the anime started to treat itself like a masterpiece with awesome debates about humanity, trying to be solemn with effect phrases between ecchi, romance and comedy bad-developded cliches and a almost lazy character development.

Beautiful, they did a good job with art and scene mounting. Was a beautiful job, but wasn't enough because the story didn't catch me, so the art impact in some scenes was almost nothing becausa I wasn't feeling anything.

Nice soundtrack and voice actors.

All the characters was just so maleable. Just one or two things to make they change all their values, emotions and thoughts when the screenplay don't need that personality anymore. One impact phrase is enough to change the entire personality. Just... What?

Story: (9/10)

The premise looks symple in the begining but when you let the movie show its story you can see the nuances.

Multiples sides of love and how this feeling is more complex than like and dislike, the power of choices and the consequences of them and, of course, the culture behind the fantasy.

Just generic. The 3D was kinda weird with the scenerios sometimes, but wasn't a big deal for me.

The voice acting seems off sometimes in the not-main characters but the soundtrack was just magical to me, especially the ones with vocals in chinese opera style.

PERSONALITY! We have it! I just think they should show more from the characters than the current movie situation, like family/friendship background than just tiny phrases.

Enjoyment: (8/10)

In the last 50min I felt tired, just "Well, this will happen so I'm waiting for it" I think the movie time was kinda rushed in the beginning and slow in the end.
