I was sick over a span of 4 days in bed, i was desperate for some entertainment and had picked up Accell World after 22 episodes had already been released, needless to say i was pretty hooked and managed to watch them all within 2 days.

The main character Arita is so frustratingly annoying, his default expression are these eyes of sadness which thoroughly annoyed me through out, from what I've read he has single handedly made people drop AW in the first few episodes. His appearance is obviously a code for his timid and weak nature as he is the first character I've seen that ... is so short and fat, he looks like a shorter chubbier version of Simon from Gurren Lagann except he also just sooks ALL THE TIME, someone compliments him and he starts crying, he get s a piece of cake and he starts crying, he wakes up most likely crying, it's frustrating but at least the anime holds so many positives that i could get over this.

I like the Concept of the brain blast program that allows people to fight in an MMO style game where they battle to try and keep enough points to 'burst link' in the real world, it basically lets them cheat on tests and be better at sports and stuff making life a lot easier.

once in the brain burst game, users take on avatars, meaning i can look at Arita's awesome avatar the 'Silver Crow' instead of him, the fighting was really well done but i wish Arita would stop sooking during fights, it's like he cries and then gets the motivation to fight again after, i preferred the gurren lagann style where they would just get really pumped up about fighting spirit and all that stuff which got you as a viewer pumped up as well, sooking is just annoying as a viewer when it happens every fight.

There's a good deal of twists and double crossing and all that good stuff that make plots very engaging and dynamic. especially the later episodes when the villian Noumi is introduced, AW did a fantastic job of making you hate him, he's a young brat trying to manipulate your much loved main characters which infuriates youa s a viewer, i wish i could crawl in my monitor and beat him up which means he was very well represented as a villain.

I would highly recommend this anime, it had a good blend of action but it's biggest flaw is it's main character which is a shame, if you can get over him (which is easy since the positives are so many) you'll really enjoy it.
