For an OVA that is suppose to be for Lucky Star... it wasn't very good.
The ova consists of a couple of mini-episodes that were suppose to be for the amusement of fans. Where was that amusement, might I ask.
The first story that began had more to do with the dog than with the characters themselves. Basically, it was more of the dog sleeping, with a few glimpses and actions from the characters. Not the best to start out with. Shortly after, we have an RPG game.. and though it is nice to see some 3-D type action.. it was rather annoying that all they
...
did was talk, and repeat in battle sequences. 'sighs' Really I was starting to loose my interest.
Finally, we get something entertaining in the 3rd mini-episode. The Cinderella type story, with Konata as the fairy god mother, or should I say god witch. Here is where I can see why some fans would want to watch the OVA for. It was very amusing to see Konata up to her silly but cool and layed back type antics. The wrestling (though I am not a fan) was rather interesting, especially seeing as it took the form of the ball in the story. The ending was also hilarious too. Then we have the Vollyball game.. not as good as the Cinderella type story, but almost... Sisters against each other, along with two other friends (yes.. Konata included). I must say it was fun to watch them go at one another in attempt to be each other, and with an interesting outcome.. 'chuckles' So amusing.
Then there was some strange man trying to sell Konata's RPG character some items... and then it skipped to the camping story. And when my enjoyment rouse... it fell. The group is lost within the woods, thanks to Konata, and trying to find their way to the camp grounds. All they really did was walk around and talk.. which was pretty boring half the time. I think the only enjoyment I got was watching Konata proclaim they were going to die... Finally we have the sensei's house which was very short and... very confusing. I think that is the only word I have for that.. that it was very confusing, and yet ridiculous to the point it forced a laugh out of you.
And then the ending.. well.. the ending I just ended up hitting my skip button.. that was just.. They were... Okay there are no words to phrase how utterly stupid then ending was. 'chuckles'
My rating for the story a five.
The animation in Lucky Star, like always it was very good, but it is different this time comparing it with the RPG 3-D effects. Something about seeing the characters in 3-D sort of rubbed me the wrong way. Don't get me wrong, it is nice to see them come to life in 3-D instead of remaining in 2-D, but I just.. I don't know. I think it had something to do with the gaming effects... Something about them could of used a bit more something. So the art work is seven.
The sound.. I didn't like the ending song.. Nope.. did not. I did love the voices, seeing as they nailed the characters personality dead on. But it was brought down a peg by the gaming effects... Seriously, something is missing...
Okay, boredom sort of brings your view of the characters down a couple of notches so do not be mad at me. The characters were good.. they brought a nice ingrediants to the min-shows, even if the show was boring...'twitch' They were kept well in character in my opinion. I don't have much to say other than that.. and Konata was most certainly amusing in her witch costume.
My enjoyment is a four. Simple as that.. I didn't really find my enjoyment rising in this. It fell a great deal with the first two mini-shows, but rouse by the 3rd and 4rth shows, but dropped again shortly after. Really, it wasn't very good as I had hoped. 'sighs' It did give me a good laugh now and again, so it deserves a four for descent. In other words it wasn't all bad.
Overall, I think it was a pretty fair OVA, considering that it gave us fans something more from the series, and showed what they would look like in a more 3-D type nature. It also provided a nice sense of humor, and show a good deal of care for ones pet.. Yeah, it may have been boring, but it wasn't all that bad. I think a six is a fair overall rating for it.

4 episodes... If you think I will say it wasn't enough, you are mistaken. I think it was enough, no.. I think it was enough by the third episode.
I was completely bored, and tired by this anime that I ended up stopping about ten times just to find something else to do. Usually resulting in a more interesting movie, such as Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaur.. oddly.
The story, well.. I am not sure what it really is. I get that they are angels sent to evaluate us on good or bad habits but really... what else is there to this other than utter
...
nonsense. Yes it is a good yaoi story compared to some others but I say there are better ones out there than this. This was utterly boring, dragging on.. or just wasn't thrilling enough for my taste. You have a Chikane who is an outcast angel.. alright.. and his partner (don't ask me the name, I have already forgotten)... alright.. and what do they do besides dealing with angerment issues, Chikane wanting to know if he is the only angel born with black wings, a scientist creation.. Really it is just episodic almost.
I rather take up a ridiculous love story than bother with this again. And trust me if you knew how much I hate romance you'd know I would have suffered with the love story.
Compared with some of the anime I have seen, this doesn't compare. It is descent, yes, it has some nice effects, true. But it could have been better. It is obvious that it is low budget, but from the first episode to four you can see that it has steadily improved somewhat. I still say they could have done better, but it was okay and standable.
Like any other english dub.. I found their voices basically annoying. Personally I think that is why I didn't find much interest in the story while watching. The voices really didn't seem to match, Chikane's voice was too loud, and obnoxics sounding.. I litterly was wincing. His partner.. well to be honest I just wanted to punch his partner, anways. I didn't like his voice either, sure it matched the character somewhat in his ignorance, but honestly I was sort of twitching while humming Ring around the rosy.. And it takes alot for me to sing a childish song such as that. Personally, I would have perfered Sebastian's terrible English voice to his. And that is saying a lot seeing as I REALLY hate Tatum for butchering Sebastian.
So no, the english dub isn't very good.. it is still watchable but that is at your own risk. The songs.. well.. I didn't like them either. They were okay, but I perfer never to listen to them again.
Characters now... Well what do I have to say about them. Dull, dull, dull.....'hums' Chikane, what is it with him that isn't in any uke.. he is fisty, check, he is seemily girlish, check, he has a great deal of care, check, he is an outcast. Yeah.... not really anything I haven't seen before. I did like him enough to remember his name though, he had a strong care and understanding to other people, and he wasn't afraid to stick up to his snot-noise partner. His parnter... as I repeat myself, I just wanted to punch him in the face.. arogant like any other angel, considers almost everything bad...'glares' I could go on with point out his flauts but I have other things to do. Anway the characters where okay.. they provided well to the story, and they were well rounded enough.. I will not say they were completely well rounded to a point where they can be likeable in my opinion, but they were well rounded enough.
My enjoyment to this was pretty much dreadful. As I said perviously.. I was completely bored, and had to stop the dvd about ten times just to sate my starving interest. Sometimes I found myself wanting to bash my head against something when it came to some really long scenes that were just.. oh stick needles in my eyes moment. I did get giddy once when it showed a particular hot scene, but that was once.
Overall, I have to give it a four. Though I was completely and utterly bored, didn't like the sound, or the characters all that much. I must give it a fair rating which is that of four. It was descent enough to sate any yaoi fan, but do expect to be somewhat annoyed. It was okay for those who like old art work, and alright who likes crappy music. So yes, it was descent.

I must say I rather liked it. For something that is apart of one of my favorite genres in anime, I must say I really approve of this anime.
Do not let the synophsis fool you. Yes I at first didn't think it was all that interesting but when I started to watch it (because of my irisistable urge of wizardy.. Curse you Harry Potter!) I became slightly interested, and by the second episode I was more interested in it.
I haven't read the manga yet, I plan to but I cannot at this time give you the difference between the stories. I can tell you
...
is that it was slow at first but was still building. Which is good. Louise and Saito's like for each other is building.. and if you know that some anime just rush into the romance, this does not.. even though it is a short series consisting of only 13 episodes.
This--if anything--is more like a prologue to the story itself. I must say the story has captured my interest enough to where I want to watch the sequel. This anime has the potential to be one of the best.
The art was very good as well, a bit girlish, but very good none the less. I enjoyed the scenary, the effects of the magic, etc. The characters expressions where very well captured. I don't have much to say for the art other than that I really liked it more so than most animes.
And here is where it defaults. The sound.
The opening and ending were good, though I sometimes skipped the ending song because I didn't enjoy listening to it all that much. It was good, but could have been better. The opening was better suited to the anime itself.
The voice actors for english.. Well, I must say it was a miracle that it wasn't bad to the point where I wanted to choke FUNimation. In other words it is watchable, but do expect to become annoyed. Some of the voice cast didn't seem to fit the role, like Saito, but some fitted nicely. And this is saying much seeing as FUNimation always seems to have a way to mess up the casting. So yes it was nicely done. A fair six I say.
Hey, just because I said it was watchable and the opening and ending were good doesn't mean I am going to give it a higher rating. Six is fair enough considering I watched the whole thing in english.
Characters now. I am finally glad to say that I haven't seen any Mary-sue qualities yet. Louise and Saito's relationship is at a slow building process, even if the anime--as I said--is short. Some of the other characters as well where enjoyable as well.. Though I must say that they really didn't need to give one so much sex appeal and have that needy tone, one with such pride.. 'blah'.. They were still good and helped the story progress.
My enjoyment of this was great. I really enjoyed the humor, story, character, sound could have been better, the science behind it.. Almost everything. I would say if you like Harry Potter or just into the whole magic world, this is a fun watch.. but do expect to become slightly annoyed somewhat.
Overall, it is a very good anime. Some minor flaws now and again, but it was a nice prologue to the rest of the series.

Nabari no Ou. At first I thought it would be like another Naruto series, but thankfully I was wrong about it. Instead it had a whole different feel to it than what Naruto had.
First of would be the story in general. Where as Naruto you have a ninja trying to become hokage and no real other plot than that. Nabari no Ou however you have a consent plot that is shown threw out each episode. The stories development was pretty good in my opinion. It had a nice build at first before diving into the plot more.. and steadily rising to something believable and reasonable
...
in the series. That was another good aspect of the story.
I also loved the friendship and twist thrown in and how Miharu deals with this along the way. Yes a story that deserves its rating.
The art was also pretty good as well. Though it did have its flaws when it came to the characters, it was still good and I could see the effort the team put into the animation. The opening animation would be the first thing I would start off with. It was pretty bright, yet had that shin to it like the rest of the series had when it came to sunshine in the city. The grass and trees, water, plants and more had nice blends of color, and the movement was great as well.
Next would be the series. As I said about the background, when it comes to certain scenes involving the city it had a strange glow to it. But basically the whole time it was pretty bright, but not too cheery like Naruto's was. Normal I would say. You even had nicely colored plants, trees and animals. Movement of animation was excellent, and had a nice effect for the series. Now for what I wanted to avoid.. the characters animation. Now as you can see in the manga the characters seem to have long limbs yet try to hold the same shap as the regular human arm. The only problem I saw here were at the elbow and wists, chest and stomach, legs to ankles. If you notice those seem a bit longer than necessary, shorten a little and you'd have the right shape but it has that slight tube effect. The animation was good but it did have flaws.
The justus also didn't have that over done feel like Naruto's had. The animators took there time with this instead of throwing paint and turning it into something else. Even the shinr. looked great.
The sound now.. well I will honestly say that I will advise against watching the dub, and go ahead and watch the subs. The dub wasn't all that bad, well it was but not completely. Brina did not slip into the role of Miharu well.. as I said countless times in forums and probably in reviews.. her voice was scratchy, dull and void of emotions when it came to scenes where Miharu showed some emotions. I could also tell that it was a woman lowering her voice and this just ruined Miharu's image for me slightly 'sighs'. Another character with a similar effect like Miharu's was Raikou.. and if you know who plays him.. you are correct Tantum J. Michael. Once again I must curse him for doing terrible acting.. well it wasn't that bad. He at least had some emotion this time than being utterly dull like he always is when trying to play a character like Sebastian. His voice was also a tad scratchy with slight gruffness in it. A few other voice actors didn't seem to slid into their roles well and this disappointed me. It would seem that Funimation with every new anime is failing misserably with it.
Though there was one voice actor that stood out.. the voice actor for Yoite. Oddly enough out of everyone he had slipped into the role of the kira user quite nicely, and seemed to match with Yoite on some levels. I approved of this but I still strongly advise to watch the sub and not the dub. You'll just get disappointed.
The opening and ending themes were good matches to the series, I will not say they had that rarity where the songs actually fit with the anime but they were good and rememberable.
Characters now were also another thing I liked about this series. Though I had to switch to the sub to get a better opinion on Miharu and a few others after the dub messed with my opinion. I still say they were pretty good. Unlike Naruto's characters where you have all these amazing ninjutsu, genjutsu, and tijutsu.. and showing that off.. the characters are more of the concern than the action or drama. You have good development for them, and shows the build between them. You also have no real sense of Mary-sues or annoying characters.. each with a well rounded background and views.
Character's art was also good though it had limb problems it showed off the characters well and I didn't really see anything that differs from the manga with that.
But if you notice when it comes to Yoite you might mistake him for Sebastian Michaelis from Kuroshitsuji. The first time I notice this series was an advertisement on fanfiction for the boxset and the first thing I thought when seeing Yoite for the first time was.. " Is that Sebastian?" Funny, but still it he looks similar to the demon butler.
The one thing I hate is crying.. I have an emotional system that acts up for no reason at times and I cry which is annoying. I hate non-emotional crying moments, thankfully I had such emotions by the end of this series. I will not say why but the ending will give you that want-to-cry emotion. My enjoyment was pretty high, even though I found myself springing tears at the end.. it was a very good ride and I enjoyed every minute of it.. (as long as I ignored some bad actors).. I also love the creativity behind this.. unile most ninja series why they turn paint into something else they manage to actually make something instead of just using splashes of paint. They took the time to get it right and I love that..

What can I give a heads up about the story.. Hm.. all were pretty brief and to the point, which is smex.. Hot, shota smex.
I can't say they were much.. and if you are looking for the long foreplay type deal, than this is not for you. As I said it was pretty brief and to the point, it had a few nips and licks for foreplay but not much. All seemed more consentraited to claim their little shota.
One tells the story of a fashion designer working for this teen model. One day he sees something he shouldn't and is dragged into the
...
bathroom by said model. And of course you can figure out what happens next. This tell was probably my second favorite out of the six stories. It had more of that fear, bondage and of course comforting romance about it. And I am not one for romance so no one insult my taste.
The second was about a musician loving this boy that works in the shop that his band plays at. A misunderstanding and some resolve later and both main characters are at an apartment.. and you can figure out what happens there. I notice in this was alot quicker than the other stories. I blinked and it was already finished. Also we had a reacuring character it would seem.
The third I read was about a soccer player who falls for this dude who works in the flower shop. He helps with the game and after the celebration you can figure out what happens next. Though unlike the pervious two.. he doesn't go all the way it would seem.. taking the care of his little lover first before going head long into the romance. This was probably my fourth favorite in the series.
The next was about school boys. This one boy can't seem to find a girl and mistakes a new student for a girl. After a few misunderstandings and an ingury later you can guess what happens. This was my third favorite in the series.. It was a little longer and didn't move by too fast like the others did. It took some time to give a more reasonable explination at their romance. And I must say it worked. 'chuckles' Oddly enough the uke reminded me of Ciel from Kuroshitsuji, because of his attitude.
My least favorite in the set was this one.. A rich man finds a boy that is being ganged up on him and saves him. They live together for sometime and the younger convincing the other to have smex with him anytime he wants it. Where as all the others seemed breif or interesting this one seemed a bit more dull.. and slow. I didn't like this one all that much.. and that is all I have to say.
The last was my top favorite.. A mysterious man that has taken in young Leny who is a rare species of fruit bat. But what Leny soons finds out that his beloved care taker is a famous animal trainer which he stumbles upon his secret stash one night. Of course he runs and when the animal trainer catches him.. 'smirks' You can guess that Leny needs to be trained. The one thing that screamed threw my mind at reading this for the first time was " This seems what Sebastian would do to Ciel." and I must say if you love the pair you can get ideas for them by reading this. It was a right pace, and it was a bit more hard core than the others, combined with some slight romance.. not much but slight. Oh yes, my top in this collection indeed.
Compared to Yana's Kuroshitsuji, the art was good but Kuroshitsuji's is better. There were some flaws with the characters art and some background bits.. and the smex had a couple as well. Minor but noticable if you are looking for them. It was still very good though.
Though it was short.. I thought the characters were pretty good. Though all looked somewhat similar to one another. You even had some that had reaccured in two stories. We even had some that reminded you of either Ciel or Sebastian on occastion. Yes they were very good.. though they could have used some more development.
My enjoyment of this is pretty high and yet had some lows to it. It would have reached a ten if I had enjoyed two of six series more, but I could not so it deserves a good nine in my opinion.
Overall, if you are a shota fan and love to read more of Yana's work.. I strongly suggest this six chapter set. A couple of good stories, and some details into Yana's past workings before Kuroshitsuji. Also you can see how much she has improved after this. It also was a fantastic read and would settle any certain "need-to-read-some-hot-smex".
My overall rating for this is a eight. I would give it an eight point five but as you can see myanimelist is not like anime-planet so you can't use points, just single numbers.

I didn't like this series. I didn't like this series at all should be how I phrase it.
The first time it came on was on Sy-fy. Don't get me wrong.. I was glad that there was a new anime showing but I was not thrilled with it.
I decided to give it a try, and the moment the opening came on I dropped it. I couldn't watch. It was like trying to read a book that you strongly dislike but were trying to against your nature.. Of course I should be able to give you a good opinion on the anime by just the opening alone.
...
No. I can't. I decided to watch one episode after nearly three months of it being on.. and I must say I regretted it.
The plot.. I had to read up on it but I can basically give you a discription.. It was boring... and un interesting. Sometimes I didn't even know why the anime was doing half the time.. and the unnecessary scenes.. Really.. this was painful. And I never thought I would hear myself say this but.. Twilight is better than this. Oh.. that was painful. The story took way to long to actually developed and dragged a great deal in places. It was like running the series in slow mo.
I couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried.
The next set was the art. The art just pretty much sucked.. it had that dullish aura about it and that really pathetic display at it. People who know me, know that I usually pay more attention to the art and this time I could not because of how poorly it was. 'sighs' My time wasted.
The opening theme was what made me turn, not just the plot or how bad the art was. I melody chosen didn't go well with the series like most do. And the opening animation was something I swear I had seen before. Completely unimpressed.
The voice actors were descent.. as far as I can tell.. but I really don't want to go into them seeing as I couldn't pay much attention with how hard I was trying to keep my nerve to watch that episode.
The characters.. again I rather not go into this. I found them dull.. uninteresting.. and pathetic in development. But they deserve a three for keep the series a float for others.. as for me they sunk.. and I couldn't enjoy them.
Speaking of my enjoyment.. as I have said.. it was like trying to read a book you couldn't stand. And I still wince at the memory of this series. I just have to rate this a one because of how much I struggled to watch. I wanted to just bash my head against my dresser after it was done. Never again.. and the reason for why I dropped it.
Overall I rate this a two. Even though I hated it to the point of saying Twilight was better, I have to remember to give a fair rating for the series.. and that is a two. I didn't like the story.. it wasn't very well developed and dragged way to many times in places.. the characters were completely uninteresting and though they provided to keep the story a float I couldn't get into them either.. the sound was descent yet I couldn't stand it sometimes.. and the art just sucked.
I think it deserves a two.

Oh Boy! Another over 130+ episode anime, with pointless scenes, and unnecessary humor. Great, just great.
The plot.. what plot is what I am wondering. While watching this, every so often I found myself questioning this, or when I read other reviews on different websites. There really was no plot, other than a 15 year old boy, in school being able to see ghosts and become a soul reaper. To be all honest I didn't even see the plot in this, it felt more like an episodic anime with no plot at all.
The first episode was rather boring, and just lead up to what others would
...
call a breath taking transformation. Breath taking really, I think not. It was rather dull and un impressive. I had to role my eyes at yet another Sailor Moon reminder (without the fancy music or dance). The second episode was a bit better but still I saw no plot to this series. 'sighs' The is a disappoint ment to me.
As the show progressed I started to lack in memory of the series. Due to my ability to block out any boring or dull movie scenes, it was an automatic switch on for this series. I didn't like it and the plot seemed to run more on the action and humor instead of itself.
There was no real ending so far, just more prologue.
Art (Animation)- If you guys no me well, you know I pay a bit more attention to the art instead of the characters or plot, seeing as the english voice cast has away to ruin that for me (unless I am watching subs, I can consentrate more on what is going on with them). Where as many would say that the art was fantastic, or very good.. I say that it seriously lacked. I saw no real creativity for this, not even in the manga itself did I see creativity. The soul, a blue fire ball. It seemed more like light blue paint that they made glow and move. Action scenes with spiritual powers.. also another site of sqlaushed paint being formed into something. I would say the ice of Hitsugiya was probably the only creative thing I seen in the show concerning art.
The background now was way to bright, like a Spring Break party. Where it tired to show something gloomy or tragic it failed somewhat, but they did manage to capture rain and clouds right.
Character art wasn't so good either. Like Naruto, when a character either gets bruised or has a small cut it would heal quickly without cause. Only major damage showed, pathetic. Hair styles, limbs, and tones could have been better also.
I am being rather generous with rating sound a five. Mostly because of the song choices and the not too bad voice cast for this.
The songs for the series, though they had a good beat and were somewhat rememberable, it did not match the series at all. Rare cases like Kuroshitsuji's soundtrack actually fit and flow with the story as if it belonged, but most cases like Bleach it was just put there to show off the series. Apperantly, in this case you run good on soundtrack you tend to have a bit more fans.. Nothing of real interest to the songs, a good soundtrack but nothing relating to the series.
Voice cast.. now I mind you that I do not watch this on dvds or youtube. I am stuck with AdultSwim and watching it every Saturday, so yes.. I am reviewing for the enlgish dub. How unfortunate. Thankfully, Viz didn't do too bad with it, I felt that though some of the voice actors like JYB didn't fit the roles correctly some did. It wasn't too bad to where you'd hate listening to it, but you can get annoyed by it at times. So it is watchable, I just suggest you be careful before doing so.
Characters.. now people are going to hate me for this, I just know it. One charater out of all of them stood out for me.. and that was Orhime. Now before anyone curses me out, let me explain to you this. Orhime, had these god like abilities and yet instead of going into that they skipped over her like a rag doll in garbage. Ouch. Not only that, but I notice (and another person notice as well) that the enter series consentrated more on the males instead of the females. Useless characters I would have to say, seeing as they only put them there for show. How rude is that... I mean you have these amazing girls here, that probably have more power than they show and they are skipped over. What in the world happened I was wondering.
Oh and the males.. most of the male characters seem to just stand around and do nothing where as Ichigo bothers to do something about any problem. I mean come on.. all these characters seemed nothing but sueish or stuish to me.. and it hurt me to feel that the series was like a statement that females are only good for their looks. If any anti-club there should notice it was not the girls fault for what the staff did it is the staff and mangaka that ruined their chances.
I can't help but rate them a 3.. just poor. Poor development, poor attitudes, and the majority of useless characters. This just irritated me.
My enjoyment a three. I found my enjoyment seriously lacking in this series. I was not impressed by the action or attempts at being funny. I was not impressed by the characters, sound, etc. Really, I was just like a china doll staring at the screen. Though I should probably rate it lower if it where that bad, I did find some things rather funny like the blood being thrown at the wall and writting itself. I couldn't help but laugh, or any time Mr. Hat and Clogs came up.
Overall.. a 3.4 (3 here). I could not like this series.. not with the serious lack of creativity, anti-female feel, episodic feel, and lack of plot.. just a serious lack of everything. My advise to the staff would be stop and change it. The manga is feeling the same so I am not surprised by this. 'sighs' Not at all good or enjoyable in my opinion.

It would be ill adviced if I did not warn you ahead that the sound area is going to get pretty ugly, but you've been warned.
I didn't really want to try Black Blood Brothers after the horrid rech of a series Twilight had come out and was ruining the name of vampires, so I was a little untrusting of this series. But after seeing an amv for Within Temptation on this series I decided why not when I find the time. I found that time yesterday.
The plot was descent enough, had some flaws, but it was descent. It sort of reminded me a little
...
of Shinzo at first, the journey to paradise, then it jumped ship to a reminder of Saiyuki. Hm.. Well I will say this that the prologue at the beginning of the series wasn't really necessary. And many scenes had made me sidetrack to my own mind but quickly snap me back to the series at hand. I will not lie, it was pretty un-impressive at the start but got better along the way. For a short series it did have a slight fast pace plot, and quickly ran to the their destination by the end of the first dvd. I wish it were longer but in all honesty not so much. 'sighs' As I said the plot was descent enough, just as the summary discribs, but also it has its... what do you call them.. boring features to it.
The art work was pretty fair game here. But I could not ignore the long faces, the two scrawny stomachs, and oh yes.. a plump looking Kontorou (he may be little but I doubt he is that plump). Some of the hair styles could have also been better, but it was pretty good and I enjoyed it somewhat. The background wasn't too dull nor was it to bright like some anime like to give it a cheery sort of feel, so yes. It was pretty fair with some faults to it.
The sound now.. (This is me cursing the dub out.. you have been warned twice).
I hated it.. The moment I heard Kontorous voice I knew offically that FUNimation once again messed up the voice cast. Urgh.. I had to stop the disk the first few minutes after it really started just to gain my nerve to watch it. And I must say I almost regret it. Tantum J. Michael... Jiro voice.. How many times am I going to have to say that this idiot was just too dull.. I swear they chose him because some fangirls commented his voice sounds sexy.. Sex appeal for a character isn't enough. 'sighs' It was gruff, it was a little off, and even when he did a suppose to be hilarious face, I could not laught because I could hear the dullness behind the panic. Really.. he did not match with the character, and I once again am reminded that this was to be the voice of Sebastian Michaelis. Disappointing. Kontorou, was just horrid. So wincy and scratchy and overly loud.. ouch my ears. Mimiko.. wasn't to bad but the voice didn't match the character well. 'sighs' I feel bad for the anime.. and any other anime that FUNimation got a hold of.. they may get a large amount of anime but I must say their voice casting skills suck to the bone. (In other words the english dub was just horrible.)
Characters now... Well as I said the sound messed with this opinion here. I barely could pay attention to busy with trying not to strangle whoever was in charge of picking the voice cast. Jiro, threw the dullness and the hint of gruffness I found that he was a pretty stubborn and strict character with a gentel side to him, the voice really really could have been better for him to show this but unfortunately you need to watch what he does to get him. Saddening but true. He was a pretty descent character and I liked him, but his reasons for protecting Kontorou so strongly are rather see threw.
Kontorou now.. I just had to ignore him.. I could bring myself to pay attention to him because of how bad the voice was. I can give you what I know though.. he is hyper and gets into trouble alot. Yeah.. no different from a normal child, but I just couldn't pay any attention him other than that.
Mimiko was.. innoscent with a short temper. Her voice as I said wasn't too bad, but I found when she yelled I had to tune her out. She felt a bit sueish if you know what I mean, for two shows now it consentrated a little too much on her, so I have a small fear that she might end up like Bella from Twilight. Not good, not good at all.
Most of the characters I forget now reason why they weren't really strong enough to gain my attention. 'sighs' I am not really looking forward to the next episodes, don't get me wrong the plot was descent, art was fair as was the characters, but the sound I am not. 'sighs' I will make sure to put it on subs next time though.
My enjoyment of this was a five. The voice cast just continued to lower my enjoyment so I really couldn't get into it, but I did enjoy watching Jiro beat up his little brother and Mimiko yell at Jiro. The humor was funny (with the exception of Jiro's moments.) but my enjoyment was pretty low.
Overall I give this a six. I can't give it a 5.3 like I want to but if you try to round five off you'll get a five so I will leave it with a mediocre rating. I didn't enjoy it is so much, the plot was descent, and art was fair, but be warned those who attempt the dub.. it was bad. Characters were all right to but not completely. There are more better vampire series than this to be honest.

To be honest I am thinking about dropping this after seven episodes.
I didn't really like the manga either but I have a refusal to drop anything unless it is absoletly ridiculious.
The story was certainly different from other school related anime. You start out being introduce to the main character talking and shortly after you meet the host club. Short and a bit fast paced but that was the same as the manga also. I didn't like the randomness of it really, I found it rather annoying yet funny at the same time. The story doesn't say much other then take you into bits
...
of a troubling life for a young rich heir but really it is a story of romance believe it or not. I could barely tell with all the randomness going about.
Another five for the art. Though it was bright and pretty as some would say I didn't like it all that much. Character's limbs looked like rather like rubber sticks then real limbs and the heads seemed a bit smaller and thinner than adverage. The eyes were normal and the hair was indeed flowing but it could have done much better. I liked the background art more then the character's art. It was lovely draw and had a magificiant glow thanks to the animation. It could have done better without the blurness around it or sparkles but it was good. Character's art not so much.
Three for sound.. Now the reason for me wanting to drop it instantly was because of the english cast chosen for this. And this is where the rating will lower. The english cast was horrible.. just.. urgh it was bad.. very bad. I wished for my ear-drumbs to shatter because of how bad it was. Funimation was terrible once again at picking the cast and there is the proof with the voices. One listen and you are annoyed by Haruhi, be introduced to the host club and there after you'll just want to rip your ears off. Absolutely poorly done. The only reason I didn't give it a 1 or 2 was because them capturing the background noises alright but really the voices diracted me terribly.
Characters were decent enough. I didn't like the voices cause the did not match and just made the characters sound very.. how do I put this... incredible bad. Blunt and innoscent enough for you. I didn't like the character's art very much and to be honest their personalities could have used a tad bit more work but they were decent and I somewhat enjoyed them.
My enjoyment for this was dreadful. I found it amusing somewhat yes... but in all honest opinions.. it was just dreadful. I did not enjoy the character's as I probably should, nor did I enjoy the art, music, etc. I just had trouble with this all together.. I barely could enjoy it with such terrible acting and the randomness of it. Just dreadful in my opinion.
Overall.. I did not really enjoy this series like the manga. I am seriously concidering dropping it but I don't know for sure yet. I did sort of like it but.. 'shakes' head I just don't know. Funimation just did a dreadful job with this.

Personally, I liked the first FullMetal Alchemist series better, and I wasn't too keen on the idea of the anime fallowing the manga.
Story- On anime-planet I rated this a 8.6, but here I an only rate it an eight. Even though it had taken a different direction from the first and switched to manga based instead.. It still kept its interesting and luring capture to it. But it kinda bores me more than the last one. One reason being that by fallowing the manga it just gave itself a major spoiler without really trying. You already know what is coming, and what's going to happen
...
so really that was highly annoying on its own. You have certain parts that felt sped up, you have character's that are different and over show the emotions. Basically the same mask of a summary but with a major spoiler.
Art (or Animation)- A nine. I did enjoy it more so then anything else really. Its better than most animes and has a more lighter feel towards it combined with dark contrasts, monstorious scenes, and slightly good blood. (it didn't look a nearly as pant.)
Sound- Seven. Before anyone yells at me for ranking the sound seven, I do have my reasons. Mostly it is because of the alchemy, emelements, and metal clashing with each other that I noticed something off. If you have normal hearing you wouldn't hear it the first few times, unless you re-watch and listen very closely. Everytime fight scenes happened I could hear something else in the background. It was faint but I could hear it when ever water splashed, fire roared, metal clashed, etc. That was very annoying to know and hear. But the sound did match with its destend target, even though it was slightly off as well.
Characters- On anime-planet I rated this a 7.4 but here of course you have basic rating. There are many differences from these characters compared to the first anime series. Edward's shorter, lighter hair color, his eyes, he was shorter than before and didn't seem all adultish. He over-reacted a bit with sadness and didn't over-react as much when it came to being called short. Alphonse other then annoying voice changes and a slightly brighter tone there really is not difference other then he can use alchemy with just his hands now. Winry--- still annoying to me, she had more reaction which didn't make her so bad but I still see her as an annoying girlie girl with a metal fetish. Roy the same only more pervy. Riza.. I'm glad to say they didn't mess with her much. In other words they were good and somewhat decent.
My Enjoyable Rating for this- Well I can't say this easily, seeing as I am writing this while still watching but I have to rate it a 5 for now. My enjoyment for this weavers ever so often so its a medicore stances right now.
My Overall Rating for this- On anime-planet it was 8.5, but here I have to give it a plan eight. It was mostly the art, and an interesting plot that helped with the overall rating.
