For everybody that thinks that if you remove the uselessness of Milky Holmes then the anime would be awesome, I recommend that you think again.
Yes, Milky Holmes were very useful in this "alternative" universe but the cost was far too great. There were less laughs and random stupidity in this series. I felt like I was watching something different. While watching this, I realized that Milky Holmes isn't complete without Kokoro-chan shouting her usual catchphrase of "Don't call me Kokoro-chan" and Henriette Mystere with her big "boing-boing".
Okay so I spoiled you a bit. Yes, there's no appearance (hell, there's no room) for Kokoro-chan nor Henriette
...
here so for their fans, you'll get disappointed if you watch this because of the lack of screen time for them.
What can I say about the story is so far, this is the best plot line I've ever seen for Milky Holmes. I recommend that you understand the story again and again. It's like Milky Holmes meets Detective Conan's hard to solve cases.
Conclusion, if you remove Milky Holmes' uselessness, you'll get much, much more uselessness. Then again, if you really are a big fan of Milky Holmes, you should watch this just so you could add this to your anime list.

I admit, I'm pretty much skeptical at first when I picked up this show. It was on my 50/50 list (50% drop, 50% pick-up). Good thing the female lead was hot. Oh well, time for the review:
Story: Expect the unexpected with this series. The synopsis says that "...a group of friends are trying to make a movie." so I gave this series a try. It started with a nerdy male playing with his old school camera then suddenly something from the sky fell and, wait-- just watch the show to know what happened next. Just give this show a chance, even two episodes will do.
...
If you drop it after that then I won't blame you but I'm not saying that you won't regret it but rather, I AM SAYING THAT YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Art: Oh well, as usual, Geneon Universal Entertainment and J.C. Staff never failed to surprise me with their character illustrations. The female lead was drawn so good that I'm amazed by her facial expressions (her smile exactly). Also, the female lead's pet was a little unique. It's so kawaii that I want a plush toy of that pet for myself.
Sound: I'll skip this since I haven't really listening to the music part of this series. I focused on the story part. :D
Character: So we have a beautiful female lead who is supposed to be from "out of the country" and suddenly, she chose to live in a nerd's house. That's everything that I'm gonna tell you since I don't want you to get spoiled. Character development in this series is a bit amazing because everybody's given a chance for love.
Enjoyment: So I didn't dropped this show. After the first two episodes, I got hooked instantly that I always wait at commie fansubs website every Saturday for its weekly release.
Overall: you might call it a cliche but when it comes to love stories, this anime got gold! Like I said, expect the unexpected with this series. You can't go wrong with this.

It would be hard for me to write not just something for this anime (because it is ranked # 44 in the top anime of MAL) so forgive me if I offend somebody out here because of this review. I'm also a fan of MMORPGs (Ragnarok & Grand Chase to name a few).
Before I start, don't do what I did. I dropped SAO after the first episode because there are no girls in the first episode (sorry for the spoiler. I'm a BIG fan of Harem animes.) and only picked it up again after the 5th episode.
Let's begin
Story: As simple as it gets, this anime
...
is based on a concept "Kill or be killed". The story development is just plain. There are some introductory episodes for new characters or new weapons. The drama is there especially when somebody gets killed. We also have a little bit of romance. To summarize: SAO is something when it comes to the story. It might be a plain old cliche when it comes to shows or something but the story development is just too amazing (even though IT IS a little bit slow). I'm currently on episode 09 and YES, I regret what I did when I almost dropped this show.
Art: I've compared the manga from the anime and found out that Asuna is just too damn hot in the anime! (Sorry for the word. I can't use the F word in here). Even the swords which are the main focus of this anime are drawn almost to perfection. The characters' facial expressions are just amazing.
Sound: THANK GOD FOR MAKING LiSA! The OP single (Crossing Field) is just too catchy. I usually skip the OP video but when it comes to this anime, I don't skip it because the song is perfect for the OP video (especially the English part). The chorus part is full of action in the OP video.
The ED single, Yume Sekai (Dream World) which was sang by Asuna's seiyuu (Tomatsu Haruka) is good. A perfect song for ending an anime (like Life is Like a Boat in Bleach). By the way, if you've watched Ano Natsu de Matteru and want to hear Ichika Takatsuki sing, then listen to Yume Sekai (since Asuna and Ichika have the same seiyuu).
Character: Character development is too good for this anime. The writer has successfully shown how character development should be done and he did it in a way which I can say is so damn good! Unlike other anime in which all the characters are introduced in episode one (in which name confusion starts for people who watch), up until episode seven, characters are still introduced in a fascinating way. I've checked the casting for SAO in MAL and I know other characters are gonna get introduced soon enough.
Enjoyment: Fan of MMORPGs? Then pick this show up. You won't regret it I swear. I'm betting my HDD for reformat if you didn't enjoy this show.

Before I start, let me tell you that I'm a big fan of Harem animes (Hoshizora E Kakaru Hashi, Mashiro-Iro Symphony, Akane-Iro Ni Somaru Saka and the such) so I'll write this review on the viewpoint of a harem fan.
Let's start! ^o^
Story: You are given the chance to be a heir to a big company. The only condition is that you should get married first. So you enroll in a school so that you can find your typical waifu (wife) then, suddenly, you have five awesome and beautiful girls sorrounding you. You can choose one of them so that you can marry her and lead
...
the company.
Sounds like a dream life eh? You get to choose who you want to marry and become rich at the same time. It's like hitting two birds with one stone.
The TWIST: One of those 5 awesome and beautiful girls is your long lost, blood-related Imouto (Little Sister) who was separated from the family long ago because she is an illegitimate child.
NakaImo is a little original when it comes to the story part. A harem anime typically consists of three or more girls fighting for the love of the male lead but the twist is what made it original. I can't even imagine myself being in the shoes of the male lead because it's so hard to choose even though some guys are saying that there's only 20% chance that the male lead can choose his Imouto by mistake. It's only a little original because the characters have the same personality for a harem anime. (Which will be discussed later in the character part)
Art: The art is what I liked most about this anime. The girls are, well, how can I say this? Have a little moe (as in moeblobs from K-on!! or Upotte!) and then all of them are kawaii (Like those girls in Visual Novels). I admit, I have a crush on all of the girls in this anime (especially on Konoe Tsuruma).
Sound: The OP single (Choose Me ♥ DAARIN by StylipS) is what's catchy about this anime. I usually repeat this song again and again on my phone when I'm on the bus. I can't find anything else about sound that caught my attention.
Character: The typical harem anime. We have a genius, silent-type, class president, vice-president (not to mention a TSUNDERE (by the way, I'm also a big fan of Tsunderes. I want to have a Tsundere girlfriend in the future)).
Enjoyment: If you're looking for a typical harem anime with a not-so-typical storyline, then NakaImo is for you. After all, the fanservice given by this anime can make you squeal. (I don't want to spoil you but I can't get the sound Konoe made when she was squealing out of my mind).
Overall: If you're a big (and I mean BIG) fan of Harem animes, then this is for you. The love story isn't too heavy unlike Mashiro-Iro Symphony (or Princess Lover!) and it isn't too light unlike Hoshizora E Kakaru Hashi.
