I have mixed feeling with this manga. I started it because of the anime which was amazing but then when I read it, it just felt ok. I got to the shibuya incident which I had already heard of and it was great but didn´t make me feel that much. So then I got to the last chapter which at the time was around the start of the culling games.
And I left it there and I would come back a few months later, catch up and that would be it. From time to time I would get excited like the kashimo vs hakari fight, fushiguro ... vs reggie or itadori vs higuruma (I love that guy). But that would be it. Until at some point I started watching those power scalling videos and slowly I started rereading the whole thing just to look at things I didn´t notice and then I realized that I was sorta hooked on this.
The story kept going until it reached sukuna possesing fushiguro and the whole thing that happened later which was amazing.
Then gojo was unsealed and I have to say, I was never really interested in him, despite having a whole arc to himself, being "one of the deepest characters in the series" and everything else. But I´m a good side fan so when the question came out about sukuna and gojo I was always on gojo´s side. But my god did his reappearance hype me, first it was the fact that he was HUGE (not that much) and thats because I love muscular people, then there was that confidence he was emanating (I honestly believe he could have killed the 3 of them if he had wanted to). But just like everybody else, nobody thought that he would win so it was more of a how much damage he would deal until he lost or died. But with every new chapter not only it seemed he could keep up but he was winning until the end of the fight.
I was really bummed out when he died and that was also the first leak I saw (the leak community thing became something new for me).
So then chapters kept coming and we got kashimo which ended up being a dissapointment and honestly I felt it like a crappy thing because he was being really hyped up. Then the kenjaku fight which I can´t believe thats how gege chose to kill him.
Then the sukuna fight started and I already had doubts about how would gege carry this fight taking into account that sukuna was so far away from the whole series in terms of power.
In short, it was a let down.
I honestly believe that either gege or his editor or whoever was it, wanted the series to end (don´t know nothing about the industry). Itadori, despite what everyone says about fushiguro, he was the true potential man and honestly it really bothered me how little presense he had during this fight. And yeah I get it that sukuna is above itadori in every sense but come on, even kusakabe landed more hits in a 1v1 against sukuna and had a better manji kick than itadori (I hate that kick), sukuna´s nephew, blood manipulation user and all that crap but it was never shown to do much. Sukuna was a cockroach who could take anything, yuta getting into gojo´s body did and went nowhere, kenjaku´s plan was never seen or even close to being achieved, fushiguro dissapeared same as nobara whom apparently was alive, hakari against uraume, the lack of relevant dialogues between characters (everything was an explanation about certain plan or ability). There are so many things which just didn´t click for me and honestly it just felt like a real letdown, I just had become really hooked on the series only for it to go downhill. Within the last chapters I just didn´t feel nothing and it really saddened me that atleast to me, this much potential was wasted. Not saying that it was going to make history but like anyone, I like it when something I read has a satisfaying conclusion.
I hope the anime gets it better, still, I enjoyed the experience of waiting for the next chapter and making theories of what to expect.

I loved almost everything except for the last chapters from the last arc. So a 9 to 300 chapters and a 7 to the last 14 ones (its a figure of speech) so it gets a 9 because math me am good.
The comedy was gold ;), the characters great and the story was really interesting. Honestly this review holds almost no weight because I want to read it once more since there were many things I just didn´t see.
But it gets a 9, because it deserves it.
I have full confidence in whatever the author chooses to do from now on (read dogsread, I want ... them to be validated in order for me to feel validated).
The only thing I can honestly say is that this manga just takes time to read, I don´t know if its too dense or too much written but its not something yo can read at any moment like its nothing.

I read it because at first I was interested in the name kaijuu, since I like monster quite a lot and then once I understood it was just this, I kept on reading because its really easy to read. Honestly I think you can get from the first to the last chapter in just a few hours.
The characters aren´t really interesting, apart from the Mc who tricks you into thinking ... it will be a different take from the rest due to his age (he is not). The rest are just there, their dialogues are empty and all that.
The main villain is honestly surprising only because I never realized he was, until the last 20 chapters. He is just so unthreatening (now dead) that I always thought he was just a jobber and I don´t know if that was the intention or not. Which is somewhat interesting and amusing.
The story never seemed to go too far but its already in it final arc so thats also a remarkable thing.
So to finish this up, Im between scoring it wth a 5 or a 3. Depending on how I see it.
Its a 5 because thats what the text nextto the score says, "average" and I think thats the general note it should have.
But I personally think its a 3 because it doesn´t make me feel nothing, but with that logic the ones I hate should go higher than this one so I´ll leave it with a 5 and thats it.

Last review got deleted and I have given up, so I'll just sum up my issues with it and that's it.

Charcacters:
Except for the one who plays the drums, they are all uninteresting and have next to no chemestry. The group feels like they are total strangers to each other, which makes sense since only two of them know each other, but I didn't feel it like that so I don't care.
I'll just mention bocchi because the others can be summed up in a sentence. Blue hair is cool mysterious gal, red hair is a normie with a golden heart or something like that and ... blonde girl wants to form a band and she is the energetic one if I'm not misremembering.

Bocchi is a shy girl who has a lot of difficulty talking to people to the point where its worrying and you could feel bad about her. But she just made me angry, because every time she gets anxious its just her gag, and I got annoyed by the time I was finishing the second episode. And because her whole personality is being anxious and anti social, she has no relationship with no one in the group except for blondie, who at some point recognized her and had a nice chat with her but even then, bocchi didn't open up to her and things were kept the same.

Adaptation:
Taking into account this is adapting a gag manga, its amazing what they have done. I'm not going to talk abaout anything in specific because thoso who have seen it know how creative some scenes are. Sadly for me I didn't like the material so to me it's a waste of talent but it is what it is.
