Now that I think about it, these two animes are somewhat alike, here's how : -One of the main characters are really strong in some way. -Both in a town/city where it has a lot of other people with powers and facilities for research. -In both animes, the facilities research about these powers and have adapted to them with systems. -Both animes have another character who is like their "partner" who fights along side with them.

They are similar by the fact that both animes have a main male protagonist who was suddenly involved with a girl who has forced them into trying to make girls fall in love with them. While in The World God Only Knows, the male protagonist HAS to do it or else his head will be cut off. In TWGOK he has to capture girls to make loose souls get out of that persons body. In Date A Live it has the same aspect but he has to make girls fall in love with them so he can lock the magic inside the spirit to stop space quakes from happening.

While Summer Wars is a movie, and Gatchaman Crowds is a 12 episode anime, they both have lots of action, from the fighting scenes to the unique art.

Both anime are very different from each other although, but they both have a main character who seems to always be un-noticed. In Watamote (Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!) the main character, Tomoko, tries her best to become a popular girl in high school hoping it would be different from middle school. In Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru though, the main character, Hachiman, doesn't try at all to become popular. He doesn't care if no one talks to him. This is kind of like Watamote except for the fact that he doesn't care about being lonely or having no friends.

Both anime have the central plot of solve riddles. Hyouka takes place at school environment, and Gosick between the First and Second World Wars. Gosick has more drama and romance, while Hyouka shows you more comedy and slice-of-life (and even moe) aspects. Gosick has a more elaborated plot, but Hyouka has arcs, so it's easier to watch without getting bored.
