i never thought i would say this, but this slice of life manga portrays reality more than fiction.
it’s the lofi of manga, the ones u read when u kinda feel kinda lost in life, melancholic mayhaps. it deconstructs time, grounding u in reality and forcing u to experience the world around you purely based on your senses. (and in this case, sound)
takako doesn’t speak much, but she has exceptional hearing, allowing her to have a deeper understanding of the world around her.

oh boy get ready for a huge dose of "im so lonely" and perhaps jealousy while reading this
so here's a review after reading all the chapters in one sitting bokukano is a what u read when you want a good mix of everything, not too tropey, and closer to reality then most of its genre it gave me tonikaku kawaii vibes along with a lot more absurdist and mostly funny moments (like plastic neesan) and of course a bit of tsun and a sprinkle of affectionate domestic violence. its my first review but aight
first of all, its a short read, theres only 4.5 chapters for now. the story is pretty solid, it follows the main character yuki as she progresses through the story as a rental girlfriend. honestly i think this is better than kanojo, okarishimasu as instead of your harem bs, annoying loser mc stuff, you get interesting plot and and overall makes more sense to me and the art is also very good. the main thing is that it reflects the internal struggles of the mc, actual people with actual problems, as she navigates her way on how love is potrayed ... |
