Good Adaptation.
WATCH if you desire a series with :
- Outstanding characters and character progression
- An episodic structured series similar to 'Mushishi'
- Explores the core attributes of humanity and journeys to multiple countries
each with their own unique histories, customs, and cultures.
All are interesting; some are dangerous.
...
DON'T WATCH If you desire a series with:
- Ecchi harrem hentai shit
- A lot of action, kawii hime-sama, mecha or anything close to
Trust my words, when I say something is good.... it's good.

DO YOU like high quality animation and soundtracks!?
DO YOU detest and despise cliché' saturated mainstream garbage!?
DO YOU like Female protagonists that actually DO something, HAVE character and
aren't completely useless !?
AND LASTLY DO YOU LIKE a decent SOLID plot?!
Then you my dear reader have come to the right fuking anime!
...
Firstly, Seirei no Moribito /Guardian of the Spirit IN MY HONEST OPINION is one of if not the best adaptation in terms of animation quality that has ever been produced. ( And I have watched a lot of anime)
Production I.G one of the KINGS of high budget animation along side with 'BONES' and 'MADHOUSE', did an absolutely amazing job with the execution of fight scenes, background art, interaction between animated objects ( i.e, reflections on water, light from fire, shadows etc;) .
The overall flow in art-style( background scenery) within the series compliments and enhances the impact of the plot ESPECIALLY since this anime emphasises metaphysical existences ----( the title is guardian of the spirit/seirei no moribito ---- go figure).
Art- Animation>> 10/10
Story: This area within the entire series was definitely the weakest, not saying it was
bad BUT in comparison to every other aspect it didn't really stand a chance.
Essentially --- Balsa (the main female protagonist of the series)
protects chagum from assassination until the conundrum with the water spirit is
dealt with.
It definitely sounds like an easily predictable and saturated mix, however the
truth could not be further. This series presents the viewer with emotional-ties (
i.e Platonic love ) , moral and ethical dilemmas, social structures within the era
and plot twists ( somewhat predictable).
Story: 8/10
Sound: Nothing much to say. 10/10
Characters: In this series you are introduced with a vast diversity of personalities, notable characters that stand out are BY FAR the main protagonist 'Balsa' and the Prince himself . Balsa, a spear-master whom seeks the unquenchable thirst for redemption due to the sins SHE burdened herself with due to self- guilt of her past life and interaction with a certain person.
This character is what you want from a female protagonist.
Prince Chagum also undergoes an evolutionary process adapting to a non-prince life and eventually falls to the guilt of being useless and eventually coughs up the courage to ask Balsa to teach him how to defend himself.
Characters 9/10
This series is A MUST WATCH to anyone who's a fan of.... good quality media. It's unfortunate that this series is so fucking underrated BUT that's life for ya.
In my opinion it's an insult to the amount of effort the animation staff put into this series by not watching it.
SO EVEN IF you don't like the genre, you should at least watch it for the jaw dropping animation.
OVERALL 9/10 must watch.

(May contain Spoilers) ----- IF Review is too long, skip to 'TLDR' at the bottom.
Naruto one of the legendary BIG 3 of it's era ( one piece, bleach, naruto), obviously with better shounens such as kuroko no basuke, magi, jojo's bizzare adventures , attack on titan, akame ga kill etc;
The KINGS of shounen weekly were soon to be surpassed with really 'One Piece' posing any real competition within the market. However, Naruto has definitely influenced millions of people globally and is arguably one of if not the most popular western shounen anime/manga in the history of it's conception. Which opened large
...
windows of exposure for the anime/manga industry in general.
Regardless of this fact, my criteria for what is good and bad follows the CORE PHILOSOPHY that must always be pursued when undergoing any objective analysis of any form of media as a GOLDEN RULE. This is:
Popularity != Quality
If this rule did not apply, than by any logical standard Justin bieber would be considered one of the best artist's in the world. This obviously will never be true to anyone with ears but the example is there to establish my point as a CORE foundation within my criteria for analysis over any form media.
With that said, Naruto stems from the world of shounen orchestrated by the era of >>Yu Yu Hakusho >> hxh >>DBZ >> Naruto. (Big 3 ).
The predefined parameters that exist within each of these manga are ;
Protagonist has goal ( hokage) >>> meets motivator ( rivalry) >>>(sasuke )>>> ( sole purpose of this device is to establish power levels and strength disparity) >>> meets antagonist ( OP ) >>> Protagonist gets the dog shit beaten out of him with the first couple of confrontations>>> enters 'tsuyoku naritai' phase ( I want to get stronger) >>>> Gains new ability ( usually out of the ass i.e deus ex machina) >>> Protagonist beats antagonist >>> end of arc.
This is essentially the bread and butter of naruto except with a lot more plot holes, poor character development and execution.
Now because I do not want this review to exceed more than 500,000 words listing and going in depth about each contradiction within this series, I'll instead underline the major flaws within this manga.
1: Power levels within relation to context and timing
2: Lack of character development
3: And poor plot
Eg; This example ties in to both the 1st and 3rd flaw and we don't have to look too far for one, THE FIRST CHAPTER! Here the plot establishes Naruto as kid that isn't all that bright seeing as he has failed his graduation from the ninja academy due to not being able to perform the -- (bunshin no jutsu /clone technique) accurately as a final test , thus not able to receive the head band which signifies that 'x' student has finally become a shinobi .
He has also experienced large psychological and emotional scars from the village due to the obvious reason of a 9 tailed demon fox sealed within him. He is so psychologically fuked, that he hungers for attention and acknowledgement for his abilities that he's taken a habit of pranking the entire village to satisfy his craving.
After failing the graduation a 3rd time in a row, he is confronted with a known 'sensei' who asks him to steal a forbidden scroll in compensation for a graduation head band (obvious lie as he plans to take the scroll and kill naruto) . BUT
NOT ONLY does Naruto steal the scroll, he self teaches himself an advanced version of the technique he repetitively failed at executing >>> (kage-bunshin no jutsu / shadow clone jutsu) >>> due to the vast amount of 'chakra' ( energy) consumption this technique utilises it was written of as forbidden. However this kid not only manages to SELF TEACH himself the technique, he is able to replicate at least 50 within his first execution. ( I assume due to Naruto having an innate amount of chakra + Kyuubi (nine tails).
Now 2 things can be derived from this, either the teachers at the academy were dog shit and naruto is a ninja genius god OR Kishimotto is shit at constructing proper power levels. I'll side with the latter.
As we progress throughout the series, there is further evidence to suggest that I'm right! Why? Naruto wants to learn new techniques !? So instead of going back and self teaching himself 30 other techniques >> the story follows 100+ ch of him finding a perverted sage ( jiriya) who teaches him 2 techniques i.e(summoning tech and resengan)...
THIS example should spell that this series isn't built to last plot-wise . >> ( 1,3 flaw)
Now another eg of poor plot and character development is well... the main antagonist, ok so this character makes literally 0 sense and due to the nature of this character and how integral he is to the overall plot... saying one thing would essentially spoil the uhh....'story'....
but ye... to summarise, the main antagonist was pull right out of kishi's ass! PURE BULLSHIT!
To conclude, THIS SERIES IS BAD terrible cliche' plot, a lot of inconsistencies in power levels, death doesn't really mean shit in this universe and relationships between characters are transparent and redundant. I appreciate it's impact on the industry and that it's has made a lot of emotional ties between a large base BUT as a series... it is HORSE SHIT !
3/10
Tldr; Naruto is an overrated piece of garbage due to mediocre characters, terrible plot and inconsistency in character power levels . Unless you know that this manga is really just a makeshift dbz with ninjas DONT READ/WATCH IT!

---- Spoilers
(FIRSTLY THIS SEIRES CONTAINS AT LEAST 40-55% FILLER! )
Bleach: This anime is a cluster-fuck!
Nothing more, nothing less.
The concept of bleach is actually decent, and it's execution was 8/10 right up till episode 63. The relationship between hollows , humans and shinigami(death gods) was interesting and continued to progress into a rescue mission . This anime honestly should of ended as that!
But instead we get shitty plot after plot hole, deus ex machina(shikai >bankai> hollow mask>hyper bolic time chamber) and basic shounen formula... the
...
current manga for this series is in such a shit-hole that there is literally no hope for this series in my opinion ESPECIALLY with the death of Tsukada Masaaki the voice actor of yammamto.
Essentially, the plot for bleach has devolved to a transparent sequential pattern>> i.e ( antagonist enters op status ( aizen) where it canonly be matched and beaten by ultra op status ( ichigo))>> the end. STORY 4/10
It's saddening that really the only redeeming quality of this series is the sound !Shirō Sagisu the music producing god behind such titles such as NGE , black bullet and ofc BLEACH! 9/10
ART: for the first 63 episodes art was definitely 8/10 , honestly even with the lower ratio, the quality of animation and art were superior to the other 300 so episodes...
In fact I'd go as far as to say that every episode after 63 is 4/10 in art rounding to 6/10 overall .
Characters are thrown into the series in hope that the viewer will like at least one, the main problem with this is that there is virtually not nearly enough time to distribute to each character evenly leaving low amount of needed character development and understanding.
5/10
Enjoyment: There are definitely some good fighting scenes, but there is way too much inconsistency in the story and the power levels between the characters leaving for some predictable plot.
5/10
Overall this series is mediocre as fuck, and it's a shame. I really felt kubo could of rapped up this series ages ago and went on to another one... the first 63 episodes of bleach had a certain flavour to it that couldn't be tasted by any other anime just the versatility of the characters and the interaction between them were interesting. BUT FILLER AFTER FILlER + the cannon material becoming saturated really made this series barely watchable!
4/10

Akatsuki no Yona is definitely a solid anime BUT it is definitely NOT for those who are interested in anime's similar to style, pace and structure of >>> e.g nanatsu no taizai or seirei no morbito .
Though similar in some aspects, this anime does well to differentiate itself from them and it's probably not in the way you'd if you are the type of person interested in the previous anime's stated.
WHY??? Because akatsuki no yona is a shoujo romance based anime which inherently increases the pace within episodes and is uhh... ye retarded as fuk if
...
you aren't interested.
Story: 7/10 It's 'OK' but definitely not original. It's somewhat similar to nanatsu no taizai's>> 7 deadly sins instead in this case it's the '4 dragons' ( without spoiling anything) each have their own unique powers and personality + backgrounds which help and constructing interesting char development.
4 drag + the princesses body guard + another smart dude are of to save the country essentially from the bottom>>( this is an objective that develops over time which makes it interesting ) . HOWEVER THE CRINGE WORTHY SHOUJO>>> to reverse harem even at some points... ya it's preety fucked.
Art: Definitely some of the best art I have ever seen from pierrot, in fact I'd say it was somewhat unexpected... 9/10
Sound: Again , really GOOD 9/10
Characters: 7/10 Somewhat unoriginal however the execution of one in particular 'shin-ah' was insanely tear-jerking to the point it gets you hooked to not particularly want to know about the main plot BUT THE PLOT BEHIND THIS FKING CHARACTER!
He also possesses in my opinion the 2nd most broken power in the existence of the adaptation.
But ye besides that, the rest of the characters are transparent.
With again THE SHOJO MY FKING GOD!
Enjoyment: 7/10 A point to mention about this adaptation is that hak ( yona's body guard and childhood male companion ) outputs decent humour throughout the series. But I should also mention that there is an obvious sexual tension that develops between these two characters that eventually becomes so thick you could slice it with a kitchen knife.
Other than that, this anime is definitely enjoyable and not completely hopeless.
OVERALL 7/10
I've read up to the latest CH (103 ) when this review is posted...... and if you do not like sexual tensions, romance and everything else that comes with cringe worthy shoujo THAN THIS ANIME IS DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU!!!
You are better of finding something else like seirei moribito or Kingdom.
