Both series have strong character development for their protagonists and supporting cast members. These series excel at exploring the intricacies of their characters' inner lives while building an interconnected world that feels rich and deep. Each has a very distinct setting, that is used to explore themes such as prejudice, discrimination, and the multilayered complexities of coexistence With each series showcasing thought-provoking ideas and commentary on what I consider to be the human condition. If you are a fan of multi-layered narratives that unfold gradually then these series might just be for you.

The main protagonist from each series Naruto (Naruto) and Midoriya (BnHA) share a weakling persona in the world that they live in. They also share a dream reaching the top of their respective societies (Hokage for Naruto and #1 Hero for Mirdoriy). Each protagonist is also paired with a much more gifted and talented rival. The setting are very different but both series revolve around students gaining the proper training, experience, and licensing needed to become a professional in their respective worlds (Ninjas in Naruto and Heroes in BnHA). Aside from the main characters the rest of the casts for both series are immense full of likeable unique characters with divers personalities, designs, and abilities. This is not limited to the heroes in either series as they both have wonderful antagonist who are also likeable and unique.

I have felt like Boku no Hero Academia is the Spiritual successor to Naruto in Jump for a while now. While these series feel very different (imo) they do share some striking similarities. They also share a dream reaching the top of their respective societies (Hokage for Naruto and #1 Hero for Mirdoriy). Each protagonist is also paired with a much more gifted and talented rival. These series involve demons leaving their world and entering the human world. Maou and Staz (the main protagonists from each series) are both demos, who are overpowered, somewhat ignorant of the human world, and come across as anti-villain type good guy. Each of these series has a bit of romance and disguises a darker plot in a very colorful vibrant world. Neither series takes itself very serious as they each have their share of parody moments.
