First off, they both include those cute little fairy things the posses some kind of magic and the names of these fairies have some sort of theme. A fun, cute and light mood is apparent in both series. The artwork is quite similar too. They both have something to do with either the growth of the fairies or the female lead.

The female leads have similar designs and personalities; they also have a habit of smiling at weird times to the point where one would see them as insane. Both series deal with strategies and deceit. They are both dark at points in time, but have some humor. The art style is similar too. Though one is set in a school and most of the deaths are social deaths, the other is set in big cities most of the time and has real killing.

'Jormungand' is about a boy who hates weapons and anyone who sells them, but he still works for a young female arms dealer. 'Youjo Senki' is about a young female child soldier in a war-torn country. How in the world could these series be similar? First off, they both deal with war and killing, with dynamic action scenes. Both include child soldiers, as well as, manipulation. The female lead of 'Youjo Senki' shares similarities with both the female and male lead of 'Jormungand,' as she is a child soldier, but is also a crazy, manipulative badass. The artwork on both series is exceptional. On the other hand, 'Youjo Senki' is set in an alternate universe that uses magic, with an extreme focus on the war aspect of the plot, as well as, the main character's actions and feelings. While 'Jormungad' is set in more modern times with more of a focus on the characters actions and the violence that comes with the arms trade.

They have a very similar plot but include two people pretending to be in a relationship. They also both comprise of at least one character that is all around lying about their personality, status or experiences. They both are profoundly romantic as well as hilarious. Both series have similar endings (no spoilers tho). One of the critical differences is art. While Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji is full of vibrant colors, Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou's art is duller. The quality of the art is most likely a product of the times and doesn't affect the quality of the show very much. The characters personalities also play a significant role. Thought each of the main characters real traits are somewhat similar, both characters are a lot meaner in Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou. In Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji, only one of the characters has a nastier personality.

First off, the two series are both about a prince, that was forced to leave the palace at a very young age. And they both went for a similar reason - someone was trying to kill them. They are also set in a comparable time-period - making them both historical fiction. Both Princes have protectors that help them along their journey, whom they can completely trust. Those protectors are strong fighters that are notorious for their skills. A similar mood his held throughout both stories, as well as, the same tone with hints of comedy throughout. And both use this to enhance the plots of the series, which couldn't be any more different. Though the conflict and resolutions are alike, most of the rest of the other points on the plotlines for each series are very different. While Arslan Senki's plot is continually reminding you that he is a prince trying to get back into the palace, Seirei no Moribito's plot focuses on the relationship between the two main characters. Overall, both series show essential similarities that make both enjoyable for any viewer.

The animation in these two series is remarkably similar, especially during scenes that include fighting. They also have the same feel to them, while also having an exciting tone and mood. The series both include detective agencies that don't just do everyday detective work, as well as, main characters with complicated pasts. The protagonists of each series also exhibit complications with controlling their powers, and seem to see them as a hindrance. Though Bungou Stray Dogs has is more of a comedy then Tenrou: Sirius the Jaeger is, they both effortlessly show the struggles and hardships that the characters in the series face.
