University student's worries - studies - hobbies - money - work - friends - sex - love And things like that. Very funny and quirky characters in both. Asatte Dance has an accent on sex. The story feel unusual.

The soundtrack and overall pacing makes me think about it, kinda slow with a lot of human melodrama but still nice. The characters share characteristics too and are searching for someone/something/someplace. All in all two fantasy/sci-fi shounen.

Early 2000 hentai OVA with similar art direction (realistic proportions and detailed figures). The main character is the scheming type.

Both center around young, but really childish inside, women living freely, really freely, and they both have the whole "really feminine, josei, princess feeling" (for me at least, not sure if I'm explaining well).

Similar artstyle, Ooishi Masaru truly tries to imitate Ashinano's sketchy drawings. Also, it is a nice sci-fi story in the near future with a cute woman at its center, and beautiful natural scenery.

Magi is like a combination of One Piece and FMA, it takes the best of those two and it's a really great shounen. You have to watch the prequel named Labyrinth of Magic first. FMA shares some rather dark themes with Magi, political and socials.

Almost the same feeling, great psychological atmosphere. The two main characters made a mistake that changed their life. While Kaiji risks his life in games and gambles that lead to stressful situations, Kasuga risks his place in the japanese society. Since Aku no Hana is quite hated, I'll add : don't judge a book by its cover, make your own opinion, the situation of Kasuga is a big deal, and the tension is real. Everyone has made a mistake in his life, and everyone tried to hide it by fear of the consequences : that's the situation in which Aku no hana's main character is, and it's very well done and very stressful.
