THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS
I wasn't crazy over it when it was announced but I still wanted to see it given the fact it was a surfing anime, I wish I never did though. It was... disappointing. Here are my reasons why.
Story (4/10)
So... Okay, there's a story, I guess. But what's the catch? I don't know, maybe it's in the water! (Okay, that was not funny, I am sorry) But seriously, though, it's just a very bland concept, just boys discovering the magic of surfing and friendship. There's nothing to it that would spark some interest to me initially. Luckily, I don't read synopses, so
...
I still approached this anime, I want to be surprised, but I was given this monstrosity. I gave it a four because, I mean, passion is a nice thing to see. But as I've said, there's nothing else to it, just that... and friendship.
This anime goes down on every episode, like, it's on the brink of falling apart every time. I don't think there's something that advances the plot anymore. The characters, well, they're there, doing the actions, riding with the plot. It's more of a plot-driven thing based on what I saw. Not that there's some plot anyways.
Also, it had very weird pacing and cuts, everything's happening all of a sudden and I hate it. There's no flow into it. I can't explain it. It's storyboarded weirdly, I guess.
Another thing I want to point out is the fact they don't fully show the parts where they actually surfed in the competitions, it's weird because they could've showed that to us so that we could feel something when they announced the winners, but there's nothing. When they announced the winners each time, I felt nothing, I don't know what they did for their victory or defeat, but they won, so yeah.
Art (6/10)
Well, I mean the art style was ok, I didn't hate it, I didn't love it, there's nothing special about it. I'm not greatly bothered by the 2D to 3D animation shifts, but I do think they could've done a better job in animating the show. Stick to 2D, at least. But yeah, I guess the water and skies looks pretty good.
The character designs were kinda "trope-y", you get what I mean? It's like it's something I have seen before. I felt deja vu looking at some of the character designs. Not that they're bad, it's just not interesting and new to me.
Sound (4/10)
I'm not a fan of some of the sounds and music they used in some scenes, but I think it didn't really make anything worse. (The show is bad in itself anyways.) As for the opening and ending songs... Well, they're songs. I mean, I'm not listening to it again, but it's not the worst.
Character (3/10)
This is my least favorite part of the show. The characters just felt flat to me, and forgettable. They're also kind of trope-y so maybe that's part of the reason why I don't like them. They also can also ruin my day with their cringy mannerisms and way of talking, so that's that. They're also kinda shallow, but I mean they're technically kids so...
Enjoyment (2/10)
This may be my least enjoyable anime of the season. Watching this felt like nothing. I felt like I just watched moving drawings doing things, that's all.
Overall (3/10)
Overall, this anime sucks, and I'm really disappointed. (I think) this is the first surfing anime out there, and it was this, why. Surfing is a cool sport, and when making an anime about it, at least make it cool too!
I hope there will be someone out there making another surfing anime that is better than this one.
(Also, sorry for this messy review, my head hurt after watching the anime, I hope you understand.)

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SOME TINY SPOILERS, BUT YOU SHALL BE FINE. :)
I have already rated and reviewed this book on Goodreads. But since there's only a few reviews here on MAL, I decided to do it again!
I will just review this by volume like I did last time, that's easier after all.
Volume 1: Not much has happened in this volume, but I still enjoyed it. It's very cute and I like the fact that there's fluff right away. I have a soft spot for it, oh my god. I'm not a fan of the plot, the whole virginity thing, I just don't find it appealing
...
or even humorous (probably because I'm ace), but in this manga, that thing isn't as emphasized as much as I thought. In fact, I think the manga can go on without it and still be an enjoyable read. Overall, it's really quick and fun read, lots of fluff which I love. It made me excited on what's yet to come for the next volumes.
Volume 2: This is where we see development between the two (Adachi and Kurosawa), this is where Adachi realizes what he feels toward the other which is really exciting, it made me scream. This is where I loved the characters the more. Also, the whole virginity thing was swept away, it focused on the super fluffy romance instead. And it's sooooooo cute, I almost cried. However, I did not enjoy this volume as much as the first because there were a lot of cliche parts. I mean, I never expected this book to be super unique, I just didn't anticipated it to be this cliche. Nevertheless, the enjoyment is still there. I think I will appreciate everything more when I watch the drama adaptation. Anyway, overall, still loved it, can't wait for the next volumes!
There's already 4 volumes as of right now, but only 1 & 2 have english copies. The rest are coming soon, I will edit this review to share my thoughts and feelings about them. (God, how I wish I could read Japanese right now...) I rated Volume 1 a 4/5 and Volume 2 a 3/5 (on Goodreads) giving an average of 3.5/5 which makes the MAL score 7/10, but I added one more point here because I want to! lol
If you love fluffy romance manga as much as I do, I highly recommend Cherry Magic!, you'll love it, And if you're not into the genre/trope that much, I think it's still worth a shot!

At first, I thought Gibiate will be the hidden gem of summer 2020, but I was completely wrong, ugh.
When I was scrolling through upcoming anime before summer, I saw gibiate, the name is quite intereseting for me. And when I saw the synopsis I thought, eh, nothing special, quite generic, but anyway, I'm gonna watch it.
And I regretted my decision, I shouldn't have watched this. I wasted my time, but since I'm dumb, I didn't drop this series, I continued until the end, how funny.
So, anyway, let's get to the review.
Story, 5/10, it's not that special or unique in any way, but some may find
...
it interesting, depends on the person actually. But, overall, it's a decent story that isn't executed well, it has potential, though.
The art, it is my favorite aspect of this show, it is gorgeous. It looks outdated, but I'm not bothered by it, I think it's beautiful. The CGI is not that good, you can see it really IS low-budgeted, but I don't care about that either. 8/10
Sound, 4/10. It's bad. It lacks emotion especially when someone dies and the main character like, cries...? You can't feel the emotions. The normal conversations are awkward too. I think the voice actors are still beginners or that they aren't really voice actors, just random people picked from the street... It's one of the two. I got nothing else to say about the sound effects.
The OP is good, the ED is good too, I think this will suit the series well when it's like, the last episode already and they have made a vaccine and stuff, I think it's a fit song for that.
Characters, 4/10, most of them are bland and dull. I also didn't expect the Sensui guy to be so uninteresting, I do not know if it's just me or nah.
Enjoyment, 3/10, well, that's it, I didn't enjoy it.
Overall it's 4/10, I've got nothing else to say, it's a bad show.

Okay, now I think I'm becoming addicted to writing reviews...
It is because this is an anime that really needs a review, for me, at least. And the last episode's coming the next day I wrote this review, so I think, it's the right time to share my thoughts.
So, Balance:Unlimited, is an interesting anime. At first, the unlimited money quirk didn't get me to watch it, but when the first episode aired, I got interested because of Daisuke Kambe, not because he is a handsome character or such, it's because he looks interesting for me. I saw some pictures from him, him with the money and
...
such and decided to watch the show, also it is very anticipated, so I thought I'll give it a try because it might be a very good show.
Story 6/10, it is okay...? It's not really a necessarily good story or plot. Or, I mean, the way it is presented, is not that good, I think it lacks something. But, it has potential, not gonna lie. Especially Haru's backstory, I liked that very much, I think it also happens in real-life, and I like that stuff. Daisuke's backstory is also good, but yeah, it isn't presented well, I don't know if it's just me, or what.
The art! The art is amazing, the animation is amazing, and the OP's style is just good, I can't say anything else, 10/10. I also like the character's designs, it's good, it's good.
Sound, 8/10, the voices are good, okay same goes for the sound effects. There's nothing special about it.
Character 8/10, yeah, there's character development and it is quite good. The personalities are also okay, yeah. And I really loved Cho-san's character, he's my favorite character, and... uh, nevermind.
Enjoyment, 6/10, the first episode, was really enjoyable and is a really nice start. However, the enjoyment dropped down as more episodes aired. Especially at episode 4, I know it is a fanservice episode, a fluff. But I never expected it to come that fast, I don't know, I didn't like it, what's the point? Anyway, the other episodes are okay, it didn't give me the excitement that I wanted, though.
So, overall, it's not a bad show, it has good setting, story, plot, everything but it lacks impact and how should I say this...? Uh, excitement? Thrills? My point is this show has unlimited potential, as unlimited as Daisuke's money.

Now that I have finished this anime, I really wanted to write a review, even I'm not good at it.
First off, the story is 10/10, it is like a fresh start for this season, it's so good and exciting ang really GETS you into watching it. When it was announced months ago, I watched its promotional videos and got a taste of its story and it got me right away, anybody would be captivated by it, it is very original. It has plot twists, as well, the plot twist on episode 2 got me more hyped and excited for the next episodes to come.
With
...
this type of story, setting and plot, I'm wondering why only a few people watched it (well of course it's still a new anime haha) but compared to the other shows this season, it is quite underrated. I hope more people will get to watch this show because it is a MASTERPIECE, directed by the famous Yuzuru Tachikawa, the director of may other good animes, steins;gate, kill la kill and mob psycho 100. It's just splendid.
Art, 9/10, it is good, I can't say anything else. Its art style is one of those art styles that I want to see every time, it's so beautiful that you would just want to look at it every other while, if you get what I mean.
Sound 9/10, yeah, it is also good, I think the voices are enjoyable and is really fitting of the characters. And the music are good, I really liked the OP and ED it is very catchy and such, these are very fit theme songs.
Character 10/10, I liked every character. There are no characters that lack personality.
Enjoyment 10/10, it is rare for me to enjoy an anime this much, especially these days, and I'm glad such an anime existed. That's all I could say, and overall I rate this amazing show 10/10.
I hope I did a good job writing a review, and yeah, if you're reading this and you haven't watched the show yet, go and do it, I promise it will be a great time.
