Arifureta is my guilty pleasure. For me, this second season was 7, but overall i guess it is 6. It was less enjoyable than the first one, but did improve in some ways.
If you absolutely hated the 1st season, the 2nd one will not be any better. There are less coldblood Hajime moments, less cool ass pulls, less edgelord... All of the things that made arifureta distinguish itself from other harem powerfantasy isekais are less apparent in this season. This is an absolute disappointment for me, as it was mainly the reason i liked 1st season. The fact that Hajime learned from his weaknesses and
...
became an OP edgelord was enjoyable for me. In second season he still is, but it is way less noticeable.
What got better was the characters. Yue is as enjoyable as she was in first season. Shia is way less annoying. Tio is ever so hilarious. Kaori is boring for me, but she got actual development. I also like how, dispite being a stupid harem, Hajime makes it even clearer how Yue is the only one for him. Even though he is the generic OP protagonist, he differs from others by not being the virgin indecisive character we always get in isekai. Other side characters play a more important role in this season, specially the classmates.
The pacing got a LOT better. And even though the last arc seemed really badly paced, it was not close to the pacing issues the first season had.
Art got a little better. CGI is waaaay better, but still awlful. The music tho... I vibed SO MUCH with OP and ED.
Overall, I guess this is only worth it if, like me, you enjoyed the first season. Don't expect anything different from it.

Expectation is part of the storytelling. When you dismiss it, or use it wrong, you may find your work viewed worse than it actually is.
If you read this anime synopsis before and after watching it, you will feel like you've been deceived. The synopsis here in MAL is essentially a resume of the first episodes. After said episodes, the show becomes something else. My expectations were that this would be some kind of lighthearted comedy set in a somewhat serious assassin plot. Now that i finished it, i'm not sure what this anime was trying to be.
And that's the thing about expectation. It is
...
a powerful two-sided blade. If you promise the viewer some thing, and don't deliver it, you will have a problem. Expectation is not a responsability of the viewer. It is something the artist have to take in consideration, if the plan is to release a well received product. I believe a lot of people dropped this or rated it low after feeling betrayed, and i honestly can't blame them.
This show isn't about a troublesome love between two assassins, as you will be lead to think by watching the first couple episodes. By the last arc, you will see that the main focus is about Chateau's past. And unfortunately, this is the most boring side of the anime. Which means, the show starts like 7~8, but ends like 5~6.
Overall, i don't think you are missing anything by skipping it. It raises a lot of questions you didn't really asked, and even though it does explain some things, it leaves a lot in the air. Did it make me interested in the source? A little. But only enough to seek some threads about it.

I usually don't like Feudal-Political shows, because most of the time i don't understand half of what is happening, and the twists are just ass-pulled plot devices. Tensai Ouji doesn't break from this. It also takes tropes and themes from other fantasy shows, like the classic OP protagonist. Most of the time, Wein explains what he is doing to a character that is as oblivious to the situation as we are, and then does something unexpected, and solves it brilliantly.
So what is good about this show? The fact that it is a comedy. Yes, the reason why Wein is going through so much stress
...
over political issues is so stupid it is funny. The way he deems himself as a genious, plans carefully everything so he can sell the kingdom and leave it all behind, but then some stupid noble's son kill himself drunk and ruins everything is hilarious, and honestly makes up for everytime i didn't understand what was going on.
You see, most of the time we see mistery, or clash of minds in anime, it is just ass-pulls and situations going perfect. This one considers the most realist thing you can have in a plot, and uses it amazingly for comedy: Chaos. Chaos will make sure that even our OP mastermind protagonist will be entertainig.
I do need to mention that, while some characters are too dumb to compete, others like Ninym and Lowellmina will sometimes make Wein look stupid, and they are honestly the best characters of the show. The relationship between those three is so cool i started wishing we would see some episodes on their time studying together.
Art is leaning towards mediocre, but I honestly didn't mind the animated dolls/dots/chibis/flags representing how armies were moving in the battlefield, because they do the job at helping visualize what is going on. I prefer this over half-assed animation.
Overall, even though the show suffers from budget production, it is interesting. I never got bored from it, and even laughted sometimes. I was expecting a horrendous anime, but finished it actually wanting a second season.

This is definetly the surprise of the season for me. First of all, with a synopsis like this, i really don't know why people didn't hype this one, over the other isekais of the season.
If you look at distance, it seems like a generic power fantasy parody isekai "with a twist". But honestly, it felt quite unique for me, as the most important thing here is the relationship between Tachibana and Jinguji. And, for my surprise, it is an Isekai that actually makes the "past life", or "life before being isekai'd" important.
If Jinguji was a solo protagonist for an isekai, he would probably be
...
as boring as the "Cautious Hero". And if it was Tachibana, she would probably be the side annoying character. The anime works because their chemestry is amazing. The side characters are okay-ish, with exception of "Discount Kirito", AKA Schwartz von Liechtenstein Lohengramm, AKA best character of the show.
Now for drawbacks. It touches the "queer" topic in a somewhat irresponsible/ignorant way. I mean, it is the case for almost all anime that tackle trans/gays related topics, but i find it weird how the show seems to make you think it is more "unacceptable" for them to be a couple because they are both guys, than because Tachibana's body is of a child/teenager. In other words, it is okay for 30 year olds to have a relationship with a loli, but it is not okay for two men have a deep (i didn't even say romantic) relationship.
What i like, tho, is how Tachibana develops to accept he is now a woman. And how, sometimes, the show is aware of its own prejudice, as there will be a whole arc touching on how it is normal for guys to feel jealous, or compliment each other, AS IT WORKS IN REAL LIFE.
Another drawback for me was how the show sometimes forget it is a comedy, and focus too much on a plot that isn't the main focus.
Overall, best isekai/fantasy show of the season, definetly a surprise for me. If you like stupid shows like Konosuba, you will like this one.

I was honestly afraid of this season of Takagi-san. Now, after finishing, i'm glad my worries were unfounded.
My main worry was that, while being wonderful, season 1 and 2 had only a little of character development. I was worried we would get more of the same, which would still be good, but would have shattered my expectations.
If you began to love this series after the famous "critical hit", you won't be disappointed. Season 3 will deliver a TON of development, not only for Nishikata, but also for Takagi. The once pure and innocent teasing from her will slowly go from a strong friendship to
...
actual love. Not that she didn't love him before, but she will actively hint it a lot more in this season. And, while Nishikata is as dense as your average rom-com protagonist, he is actually a kid, and for that reason, it makes sense he denies the obvious hints for a while. But, as the season develops, he will eventually start raising doubts, about his feelings and her feelings too.
The drawback is that this could be the conclusion, but it isn't. So, even though there is a movie next that will most likely conclude the series, this third season leaves a bittersweet feeling on you. It builds up so much and suddenly ends at a very sweet point, which can be a drawback for some.
Overall, i can safely say this is the best season so far. I can even say that, if you are currently on season one, wondering if this show ever goes anywhere and looking at reviews of the next seasons, then give it a go. Third season makes it so much worth it, and will exceed your expectations.

Leadale is the kind of show that did it's homework on how to not make your anime a trainwreck. But it forgot it's homework on how to make an anime interesting.
It isn't by any means the worst isekai of the season. There isn't anything fundamentally bad with this show, that makes it absolute trash. But... there isn't anything good about it either. Honestly i don't think i would recommend watching this one. Even a really bad show with a lot of issues would be more interesting, as trash shows can be amusing to some people.
By the last episode it was a chore to keep watching.
...
Overall, leadale isn't anything new for the genre, and it doesn't try to be, or make you think it is. Whether you think this is good or not, depends on you.

This anime's first season consists of two arcs. One is about 3 episodes, and introduces how the main charatcer Iwanaga works, with a very simple mystery. It sets in stone how the deduction process work for this character.
The second one is the main one for the season. When i found out that it would be like 9 episodes for a single case, i was kinda disapointed. But now that i finished it', i'm glad. I mean, surely they could do it in fewer episodes, but i can't disagree with the pacing they took, and am afraid that it would be ruined if they tried to
...
rush it.
One thing to consider is: This is not a mystery anime, as both arcs will be mainly about "creating a believable deduction", and not about getting to the truth. This is less apparent on the first arc, but it is set in stone in the second arc. This is what made me like the anime, because one of my main criticisms about mystery shows is how "made up" the solutions feel overall. Everything in those shows seems like a complex Deus-Ex Machina (i'm talking about you, monogatari series, even though i liked it). This show tells you "we are creating a fake solution", and i think it was well handled.
Overall, even though there are not so great things in this anime, i think it has an original idea that actually got a good pacing. For this reason, even though this is NOT the BEST SHOW EVER, i'm sure anyone will like this one.

I really liked this one. For my tastes it is a solid 9, but i guess overall it is 7~8.
Although it doesn't have anything that makes it a masterpiece, it is still a really solid story. I like how original it is, because of all "timetravel to the past" shows, this one isn't like " re-do your life". The story is really well paced, and even though it is a little previsible, it is still enjoyable. The main concepts are also really interesting, as i've never seen a character that deals with a problem like not seeing colors in an anime before.
Character wise, it is
...
good. Unfortunately, some characters stand out, and others are never developed. Hitomi and Yuito are boring in the beginning, but they grow a lot through the episodes. Overall there isn't anyone that is annoying, and every action from the characters felt coherent with their personality.
Art disappointed me a little. I'd expect a little better in this field, being an "art and photography" show. I also think a smarter use of monochrome scenes, to give Hitomi's perspective, would make the show shine even more, but they didn't explore this much.
Sound tho, perfect. I have nothing to complain about, and want to commend the opening specially, it is beautiful.
Overall, i think any romance fans will like this one. There are some drama bits, but they don't hinder the show in any way, like some other romantic shows. I also think it deals with insecurity and trauma in a very gentle and responsible way, which made me like it even more. I'd say give it a try, if you found the description interesting.

You know what? I liked it.
I don't know if it is because i watched too many shit shows by now, but this one managed to be entertaining.
At first it is ridiculous how the coincidences happen, then it kinda gets funny, then it is hinted that there is a reason for it. I personally didn't like the two main character's personalities, i'm personally tired of emotionless heroes and tsundere heroines. But Iska's emotionlessness is kinda bearable, and Alice's tsundereness isn't annoying. And, unlike most attempts at this pairing, Iska and Alice do have a good chemestry between them (even though sometimes it seems one-sided towards
...
alice)
I'd say try it. Chances are, it is better than most of the other shows in this genre. It is not THE BEST PLOT EVER, but it is interesting nontheless. If i can summarize this show, i'd say it is average, but daring in some ways most shows didn't try, without necessarily being a trainwreck.
BTW, it has a lot of negatives (like mains personalities, average art for the year it was released, poorly used supporting characters). But, at least in my eyes, none of those negatives make the show unwatchable.
I'm giving it 8 just because i really liked watching this, but overall i guess it desearves a 7

I'll keep it short. I love silly romances like this one.
It is just a simple love story, and every good love story has its bit of drama. This show, in my opinion, gets the drama right where most romantic classics didn't. For example, Kimi ni Todoke is a pillar in romantic shows, but its dramatic points can get annoying (specially on season 2). This one is just right.
Another strength of the show is how real the characters feelings are portrayed. It just makes sense to me that they fell in love on first sight, but didn't notice/understand at first. They both come from different
...
backgrounds that made them shut their feelings, so it makes sense that their love develops slowly (reeeeealy slowly). And it also makes sense that when it "clicks", they suddenly find themselves doing things they normally wouldn't, without necessarely breaking up the character's personality. This is also a thing most romantic shows don't get right.
If i need to say some negatives, i guess that the show failed miserably on the "comedy part". If you begun this expecting a rom com, forget the "com", it just doesn't work. Another thing is that the side characters are really interesting, and do get some development, but never get any conclusion.
Overall, i liked it. I came expecting nothing (i've seen how some people bombed the show on the reviews), and came out surprised. If you are, like me, a sucker for silly romance, I reccomend you check this one out!
