I've read a lot of isekai, so when I tried this one - I dropped it in about 15 chapters deep due to it's excessive goofiness. There was nothing of value I could find here.
Then year later I gave it another try and actually enjoyed that a lot. I embraced the goofiness and started to treat it like a comedy and it worked. Quite rarely manga can make me even chuckle, but this one was on par with Grand Blue after first 15 chapters.
Pair it with amazing MCs duo and nice-to-see redemption story and you have a very nice read.

Considering low rating and a self-deprecating synopsis of "I wrote a shit story and now I'm a character in it" - I had absolutely no good faith in the series. But me being isekai-garbage connoisseur, I stilll gave it a chance. And oh boy what a 180 it was.
First 3-5 chapters are exactly as you would expect from the synopsis. It feels bland, typical and non-promising. But with each passing chapter it becomes stronger and stronger. SimCity/Black&White but as an Isekai Village. This is that "Tensei Slime" wishes to be.
It slowly but steadily delves into village creation from absolute zero with it's complexity using light-hearted presentation with simple art-style. But don't be discouraged by "light-hearted". Like others I am too sucker for more mature storytelling, but here it just clicks. It's naration Flows from the capital F. I've never had easier time binge-reading. The best thing about this series is logic behind the world and how it affects MC (Main Character) village-building.
