Considering low rating and a self-deprecating synopsis of "I wrote a shit story and now I'm a character in it" - I had absolutely no good faith in the series. But me being isekai-garbage connoisseur, I stilll gave it a chance. And oh boy what a 180 it was.

First 3-5 chapters are exactly as you would expect from the synopsis. It feels bland, typical and non-promising.
But with each passing chapter it becomes stronger and stronger. Characters start to open up from multitude of sides, situtations and relationships exceed initial cliches and begin to shine. Plot doesn't turn grandiose all of the sudden and maintain ... steady pacing. Bits and tips of the otherall plot start to accumulate to make an interestring picture of the future events.

I've read a lot of stories. Usually author just got some interesting initial idea and after 20+- chapters he either spills it or doesn't know what to do with that anymore and it goes haywire from that point.
But here it's complete opposite. Seemingly bad idea blooms into something interesting and engaging.
Please, dear reader, give the story a chance. 5 chapters should be enough for you to see that it's not what it seems.

SimCity/Black&White but as an Isekai Village. This is that "Tensei Slime" wishes to be.
It slowly but steadily delves into village creation from absolute zero with it's complexity using light-hearted presentation with simple art-style.
But don't be discouraged by "light-hearted". Like others I am too sucker for more mature storytelling, but here it just clicks. It's naration Flows from the capital F. I've never had easier time binge-reading.

The best thing about this series is logic behind the world and how it affects MC (Main Character) village-building.
As an Isekai, it introduces races which create different problems in terms of cohibition. Then MC thinks of logic-grounded solution and sometimes ... it fails but not because some random shenanigans, but because if you actually stop and think about new race and how it supposed to live it's everyday life you would come to different solutions.
There are a lot of these "aha!" moments where I was like "hm, yeah, good solution" then it fails and I be like "well of course! Why didn't I think about that before?".

The only reason I set 9/10 because I still feel like something is missing, but there is still so much to explore that I think one day it will be 10/10.

The only bad thing I can say about the series is it's 60-90 chapters. It felt kinda under-paced compared to everything else, but it was still good.
But I also should re-emphasize: it starts really slow paced. So if you can't get into the groove after first ~20 chapters (all chapters are short) - it's probably not for you. Next really big changes are around chapter 90.
