Jinta "Jintan" Yadomi was an outgoing & energetic young boy, but after the death of his past love, Meiko "Menma" Honma, he has resorted to becoming a hikikomori, refusing to go to school & confining himself to his home. He begins to see her again, & once Naruko "Anaru" Anjō, one of ... the former Super Peace Busters visits him, he realizes he's the only one who can see her. Anaru thrusts him back into reality, persuading him to go to school, & in turn he runs into Atsumu "Yukiatsu" Matsuyuki & Chiriko "Tsuruko" Tsurumi who were once his friends but now go to an elite school, thinking more highly of themselves over Jintan & Anaru. Tetsudō "Poppo" Hisakawa the last of the living Super Peace Busters, suggests that all of them should hang out again at the old 'hideout'. They all come & Yukiatsu makes a shocking declaration, that he has seen Menma. But the truth is...!

Mawaru-Penguindrum starts with 3 siblings, abandoned by their parents & are left to fend for themselves. Each day seemed happy & peaceful, until her health took a turn for the worst.

Himari Takakura had died. Now emerged was The Princess of The Crystal, a supernatural entity willing to prolong Himari's life if her two brothers could find the penguindrum. Kanba Takakura, the more serious & experienced of the brothers, steps up to the challenge with no hesitation, willing to do whatever it takes to save her, even dangerous & devious ... deeds. Shouma Takakura, the blue-haired & innocent brother, is reluctant to stoop down to certain activities, attempting to act instead as the conscious for Kanba. Listening to the Princess's orders, they track down Ringo Oginome, a psychotic stalker who holds a mysterious diary that changes fate, but only at a cost. But everything & everyone is not what they seem. Once you reveal the truth, would you still want to change fate? The story has major psychological themes & becomes darker as it progresses. It takes in more sinister characters, all trying to retrieve the diary for their own agenda whilst battling their inner demons & persuading others to do so.

Durarara!! begins in the entertainment district of Ikebukuro & the story revolves around each of the colorful characters inhabiting it & their histories intermingling with one another.

Mikado Ryugamine, arrives from the countryside, tired of his typical life, to follow his best friend, Masaomi Kida, who has a dirty past of his own. Mikado soon gets introduced to the rest of the interesting characters of the district. Celty Sturluson, known as the urban legend The Headless Rider, Anri Sonohara, a quiet, reserved young girl with a secret, Shizuo Heiwajima, ... who is considered to be the most dangerous man in Ikebukuro, his arch-rival, Orihara Izaya, an information broker with an intense passion for humans, & Shinra Kishitani, a mysterious doctor with an obsession for Celty. Unknowingly, everyone has been communicating with each other through an online chat room, for an infamous color gang, called The DOLLARS. In there, there are no rules, no regulations. Fellow members discuss daily happenings in Ikebukuro, such as a mass-killer called The Slasher & some may try to assist the situation, while others can conspire. It is the only 'colorless' gang. No one knows who each other is in the group. & Even in real life, you can be friends with someone & not know who they really are.

All of them are looking for something, & will have to go through each other to get it.
