I started watching anime back in middle school when the rest of my family went to sleep. I would watch under the blankets and kept it a secret from everyone. My first anime was Kokoro Connect (I really had no clue how much anime was out there) and for some reason I only chose romance animes back then. I still like romance animes except ecchi/harem (I literally cannot stand harem), but the genres that I enjoy have definitely expanded. I don't have a favorite genre because what really matters to me is the art, story, mood, characters - the show itself, really. I watch anime several times a week but that really depends on how busy I am. I have become a little bit more open about my anime watching with my friends since it recently has become "cool".
