You know the top reviews of this two part OVA say... "don't watch it" -- well, if you were thinking of ignoring them and watching it anyway just because it sounds interesting... DON'T DO IT!!! Because that's what I did, because I figured it can't be that bad, I'm bored so I'll watch it anyway and geez..............
It was offensive, ridiculous, and mind-numbingly lame. The main guy is the guy who voiced Hikaru in Ouran, which I liked him for... and I liked his voice in this too, except that there is something mentally wrong with his character's personality. He seems a bit deranged, trusts no
...
one, yet somehow knows how to love in a twisted way.
The story was shallow and forced (I think because things were glazed over - hopefully this will be fixed in the manga, which I have yet to read) and made no sense in some places. The most ridiculous things happen and really make you think "what? why would an armadillo be there..." but you know what, forget it, let's just stop using our brain for this one.
Even if I stop using my brain, and there is definitely a storyline... why does this anime suck so bad? I can't figure it out, but all I can say is that it pained me to watch it and I hope the manga's better (usually is). I will be the next in line to say: Just don't watch it!

Wow... I'm not sure I've ever read such a mediocre manga before. =( I kept reading, thinking "OK any moment now, the girl is going to mature and stop being so dumb" or... "OK any moment now, the guy is going to transform and become warmer to her" but then before I knew it, I had hit volume 11 and that was it. There was NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT at all. AT ALL. Except for the fact that they liked each other, which seemed to be completely based off of teenage hormones and the fact that they lived together. There was never a moment of "Oh,
...
she's actually not so bad because ______" or anything for Uehara.
Even the adults in this manga are total kids, like Yuri? "I wanna have an affair"??? Are you 10?
If you're looking for romance, don't bother with this one, it's more about school and slice of life than romance, I felt. There was hardly any development between the characters... I think that side couple, Mi(t)-chan and Marina was better off than the main couple.
So bottom line was: wow, I can't believe that was 11 volumes and I felt hardly anything happened. And Uehara should wipe that frown off his face, he's handsome except that frown just got really annoying.
They also never really had major problems, her parents never visited or anything, there was a lot more they could have done with this but they didn't. And the problems resolved themselves by the culprit COMING to them and confessing, I mean, wow, way to be undramatic there...
There was never any kira-kira, beautiful moments where it was like WOW, he really put himself out there for him, the whole manga was very mediocre and anti-climatic. The ending was very cliche as well, but whatever, happy happy joy joy.
I think the target audience for this manga is like... young teens probably, under age 15. I guess I'm a bit jaded and beyond that age, so I did not enjoy it at all. It was humorous at least, I'll give you that... and thus, I end on a positive note. ^^

Story: 6
One can argue that by giving the readers what they want, the story should be ranked a bit higher. I'm a total sucker for happy endings and marriages and babies and all that stuff, but... I think I need a bit more than 2 volumes for me to really believe in it. I didn't feel invested in the characters at all, nor did I think there was any development - or if there was development, it happened between the characters and they left the readers behind. -_-
Art: 9
I do think the artwork is nice - the girl is super cute, and the guy is
...
super hot. Even the student body president with the glasses was cute. =) So that is that.
Character: 8
Nothing was wrong with the characters, I found the girl likeable - she worked hard, struggled with her feelings, and came out successful as a student and a woman. The guy was apparently amazing at everything, not sure how he can be a 2nd yr student and the headmaster but whatever.
Enjoyment: 7
It was a nice short read.
With nice artwork + OK character personalities.... battling it out with an undeveloped, shallow plot and undeveloped character personalities... a 7 is a good score to sum it up. I mean, it won't take up much of your time, so if you like shoujo, just go ahead and give it a feel-good read, it's not like it was a bad manga or anything. =) Just wish it were longer and more developed, I think.

This has got to be my favorite manga... granted I haven't read many, but this manga has you rooting for the main character, who has the most innocent, sweet, and sometimes painfully honest personality... she's a hard worker, a genuine friend, and an admirable person overall.
STORY: This may look like your typical romantic story, but it really isn't. The main char is quite unique, where she basically kinda scares everyone around her cuz of her similarity to the girl from The Ring, but you find yourself totally drawn to her and cheering for her as she grows as an individual... it's a really touching story,
...
not just romantically. For anyone who is even slightly introverted or shy, you can just imagine yourself in her shoes and flourish with her! =)
So not only are you following her through her development as a person, learning to open herself up to others, to make friends, to smile... you then start to follow her romantic story as well as the stories of the people around her, who you also will develop attachments too. Every character has a loveable side, as well as flaws, so it's all very realistic and the dynamics of the story are believable and enjoyable.
The way she understands and interprets things is really comedic and unique sometimes, and causes quite a bit of mess sometimes. There's never a dull moment in this manga, and it's just a really touching story with awesome characters.
ART: I think the art is something to get used to kinda, but I love the doll versions of people - the artwork can be quite comedic at times. =D The art is drawn so that you just find yourself staring at each page because it just fills your heart with joy, happiness, love, and all those warm gushy feelings. You really get drawn into the art, no page is wasted, and it just sucks you into the story like you're really in it... it's amazing!!
Oh, and if you watched the anime through season 2, I believe the last ep is ~ chapter 42 of the manga, with Kurumi. So, if you need a starting point to continue the story, that'd be it. But I recommend starting from chapter 40......... =)

If you're tired of the usual drama and misunderstandings that occur in romantic animes/dramas, then you can definitely watch this one. Nothing really goes that wrong - anytime you think something might go wrong, it won't, so don't worry. It's a hilarious anime with cute art, quirky supporting roles, and an amazingly hot, perfect, smart, committed main guy... and a strong-headed, hardworking, admirable main girl. Watch it for its "feel good" factor, but don't look too deep into it because the story was filled with lots of plot holes that they probably should have spent more time covering instead of delving into random side stories
...
and side characters. BUT, that's OK because we all know watching Usui save the day and embody perfection is really all we need in each episode.
I think this anime is the opposite of fan service...? Basically, whatever you girls want to happen in your dreams WILL happen in this anime. Guaranteed.
So although they gave me no reason for why the entire school didn't find Usui's behavior weird, or why it is that the main characters did NOT get together earlier (is there some sort of barrier/history/fear? if there is, they sure didn't tell us or resolve anything), and there's plenty of other plot holes, it is still a funny anime, somewhat episodic, but entertaining nonetheless, to both guys and girls. The voices were also quite comedic and well-portrayed.
I have to agree with others - their soundtrack was pretty amazing, the songs were well selected and really fit with each scene. Especially the piano songs... it's like they carry you through the story by music alone. =)
All in all, if you want a light, feel-good comedy romance without too much drama, pick this one!

The only good thing about this anime is that each episode is only 15 minutes of... well, really, nothing. No story, no character development, nothing really interesting. Oh, I guess if you like under-aged nudity and basically, self-prostitution of children for the sake of furthering their careers... sure. Go ahead and enjoy.
I feel like every episode was the same: every girl is required to advance upon Ooizumi at least once a day, preferably without clothes and/or by smashing some inappropriate part of their body into his face. I appreciate the fact that he does not usually give into their advances, except for Yagami, and that
...
he is overall, a pretty decent guy... at least in my opinions. Not many guys could hold back in real life if they were in his place.
So, unless you REALLY love ecchi stuff, even the crappy ecchi that has no real story line... don't watch this anime. Sorry Miyano Mamoru, it pains me to say this, but... it really wasn't a good anime at all.

There has never been an anime series as painful as Smash Hit! and Love Love? for me to get through - but for the sake of Miyano Mamoru, I did it. I DID IT.
All I can say that as the ratings reflect, ever so slightly, the Love Love? specials were definitely on the better side in this terrible series. At least I wasn't being blinded by 10 year old girls' panties, or scantily clad child bodies every minute. At LEAST there wasn't an episode where all the characters were completely nude for 90% of the 12 minutes...... at least there was some personality to these
...
girls besides the fact that they just want to sleep around to get further in their careers because that's the right way to do things. I felt so grateful that there was some peace and tranquility and I didn't feel that I needed to rinse my eyes out after each episode.
I am happy for Ooizumi and Yagami though. I will give the anime props for at least not causing major drama as usual romances go... but I guess there just simply wasn't time for an actual story in between all those breasts and panties.

I'm a huge fan of the voices in this anime, which was my main reason for starting it. Now that I've completed it, I can officially say... what the hell? =(
Where this anime loses points for me is all through the STORY... and that's pretty important.
A lot of the episodes were spent doing nothing, when there was a lot to be done and a lot of unknowns to explore. I appreciated the karaoke with Keito (best scene EVER!) and the overall comedy, but I think that the writers could have tried a little harder instead of leaving a million loose ends. Don't get me wrong,
...
I enjoyed the quirks they explored with each of the students, but felt that things could have moved a bit faster.
The ending was unsatisfying to me, personally, because I like to settle everything. Is it because there might be a second season? I'm not so sure about that, I think it's just because they simply shrugged off the details while they wrapped it up.
The drawing is adorable, especially Takuto and vice president, and I rather enjoyed the sparkly sparkle of each apprivoise and battle. I enjoyed listening to the beautiful voices of Miyano Mamoru and Jun Fukuyama.
Also, I can't believe the limited # of moves Takuto learned... still galactic cross slash, even in the last ep? -_- There's just so much potential that they didn't even touch, about Takuto and his dad, about Sugata and Wako and Takuto, about each of the characters... Why, why, why did it end like this?!
Kiraboshi.

Amusing little clips that parody parts of the anime... if you miss the characters after finishing Brotherhood, this is a nice way to bring em back. The best one by far was Roy Mustang's rap! And I wish there was more Ling Yao in them. =) But sure, it'd take maybe 40 min of your time, just watch em! It's stupid sometimes, funny sometimes, but overall it's just nice to see the characters again.
