Special A and Kaichou wa Maid-Sama! are both similar as the two female protagonists are strong, protective over themselves and do have a crush on the male however both males are also strong, but in Special A Hikari Hanazono (female lead) isn't as strong as Kei Takishima (male lead) but in Maid-Sama Misaki Ayukawa (female lead) shows to be stronger than Takumi Usui (male lead) in one episode as she -spoiler- fought two 'bad people' just as Takumi Usui was about to come in for the rescue. In conclusion their characters have similar personalities, they both involve heart ache and enduring love. I recommend both of these anime to anyone who enjoys romantic anime.
