A beautifully crafted romance. Tamako Love Story doesn't try to innovate on the genre, but the execution is perfectly done. Each moment conveys the emotion of the series with Kyoto Animation's always beautiful artwork and music to a tee.
While Tamako Love Story serves as a sequel to Tamako Market, the plot is entirely self contained, and easily enjoyable without any prior knowledge of the show. Character personalities are quickly presented and are endlessly endearing. Each moment is shown with attention to detail, and the tale of innocent love is almost guaranteed to leave a smile on your face long after the credits roll. Credit
...
to KyoAni for their wonderful, lovingly crafted work!
While not quite to the catagory of "must watch", and not bringing anything new to the genre, I would firmly place Tamako Love Story in the "You should watch this!!" tier. If you're looking for a beautifully detailed world, a warm, often humorous story, and beautiful animation, look no furhter than Tamako Love Story!

Welcome to the NHK! Where everything is a conspiracy, and NOTHING is your fault!... Or is it. Welcome to the NHK spins a web around three central characters, our struggling, depressed, NEET of a protagonist, Satou, his former underclassman and demanding business partner Yamazaki, and the extremely patient and kindhearted Misaki. Through the show we see many dark themes tackled. Depression, suicide, anxiety, loneliness many of which seemingly get worse and worse and worse, almost as if on a downward spiral at times, but does NHK preach hopelessness? Not quite.
Throughout the show, we see Satou's depression materialize, often in dark, humorous ways, preventing him
...
from character growth. The constant feeling of loneliness, the feeling that anyone trying to help him has ill intentions, and an overwhelming anxiety toward other people. Even when its portrayed in a humorous light, it feels powerful, almost painful to witness. Satou had always been aloof, and thoughts of insignificance were second nature. When he found himself in a vicious cycle he couldn't escape, his life was torn apart, and picking up the pieces was seemingly too difficult.
So the show IS a demonstration of hopelessness? Not exactly... queue emotional connections. The show constantly shows little moments of hope, little moments of love, care, and human kindness. The themes of hopelessness and hope are almost presented as a constant struggle. Positivity often followed by relapse... relapse followed by more positivity. Satou's realization that he DOESN'T have to be alone, and that he genuinely cares for his friends, finally overcoming himself, is the resounding message to me. How we get there isn't always pretty, in fact at times its down right ugly to watch, but that feeling of hope and of wanting to fight each and every day, no matter how difficult it becomes, is what makes the heart of Welcome to the NHK.
If you're looking for a show that is far different from the norm with deep, well written characters, a powerful resounding message, and plenty of humor to go along with the dark themes too, NHK is a must watch. The art, which may seem old to some, is used to so passionately and weirdly portray Satou's state of mind. Combine that with one of the best, most dramatic soundtrack's I've ever heard, and you're in for a wild ride.

Ahh Amagi Brilliant Park, hyped because it is animated by the legendary Kyoto Animation...and rightfully so. I will try to not spoil anything, though I am not very experienced with writing reviews so we shall see how this goes, please understand Senpai.
Amagi Brilliant Park boasts beautiful animation and a beautiful soundtrack (I love the opening theme). Kyoto Animation does what they do best with stunning art and a memorable soundtrack, combined with a frenzy of laughs. Every episode is humorous and worth the watch, never does an episode seem to overstay its welcome (If only all comedies could be like this).
Our main character.Kanie,
...
is dragged to an amusement park by fellow student Sento (sound familiar? Well kinda) Where he is told that he must help magical strangers attract guests, with the intention of saving the park. Kanie must hit a target goal of 500,000, or the park will be shutdown. Seems rather lighthearted, and it really is, however as we move along we see a plot start to develop, one that really brings out the hero (If that is really a word to describe Kanie) in our lovable mc Kanie.
Kanie may be the center of attention, but the other characters get a solid share of the spotlight. Each character contributes to the comedy in his or her own unique way. Each one has it's own purpose and none of the characters feel out of place...or maybe they are all out of place so it works out...idk.
At the end of the day, Amagi Brilliant Park is not on my "must watch" list when recommending anime to friends, but it is however just below that magical. I would recommend Amagi Brilliant Park to anyone looking for a lighthearted anime. The comedy is well executed, and is enhanced by a wonderful soundtrack and beautiful art. It does not introduce any new concepts, but it is a great example of the tried and true, and if you give this enjoyable series a watch, you might just find something magical.
