Look, I'm a straight guy, I like boobs just as much as anyone else. This work of admirable fiction almost includes enough boobs to make you overlook everything else, almost. Unfortunately though, once you look a shred besides the boobies, there's nothing really left to find. If you like hentai, then just watch hentai instead of this abomination. If you like isekai, watch any other isekai.
Starting with the title, the actual "harem" starts in ep 11 out of 12. Pretty much half the comments on every episode on crunchyroll are people asking when the harem bit is going to start. Even so, the real
...
harem portion amounts to the final 5 minutes of the last episode. If you're watching this because you like harem anime, yeah you'll be disappointed.
Now, I'm not actually that into isekai, but I can appreciate a thoughtful world and story. I like re.zero because I feel like the restart mechanic is cleverly thought out and makes for some interesting branches of the story. Here though, I still don't know what the real story is after somehow finishing all 12 episodes. What exactly are the labyrinths? Why are they there? What else is there? Maybe they did actually say it somewhere but I just completely forgot due to the amount of brain rotting going on. In fact, I'm pretty sure the world itself it actually somewhat interesting. You could probably make a decent anime with the world that they've built here if you approach it differently. We'll never know.
Other than that, every episode is basically the same. Labyrinth time, warp home, run some errands, (bath), and smash through the night. Since the mc only acquires his first girl a few episodes in, this foes on for about 9 episodes or so. How. Exciting.
The two stars solely lie on the shoulders of this awesome ending. Holy moly this song is straight fire and went directly into the playlist. I guess this falls in line with weird anime having banger songs (like the domestic gf opening), but yeah, probably the best take away from this series.
I really, really had to push myself to finish this one, just because I hate unfinished work. Use your time wisely and avoid this one if possible.
