kxReview: Hataraku Maou-sama
Hataraku started very well with tons of action and fairly good comedy but it just doesn't have a focus in my opinion. The comedy here is well done and you'll find yourself chuckling here and there. What really really disappointed me however,is just how the story tries to fit so much and ends up not fitting anything. I can pretty much say I was disappointed at this movie. It just didn't have the "this is a very crucial event" factor to it. In other pokemon movies all the events had weight in it. In this one its just very light stuff. The action sequences are always the highlight of Pokemon movies.And in this one it had decent to bad action scenes. The supporting cast is very useless as well. Yu Yu Hakusho is one of my very first animes..(with DBZ,Digimon and CCS) as a Filipino its been shown in our local networks several times in the past 10 years and it never seemed to get old. I bought a the season dvds of the series and i watched it completely..The story of the show was pretty decent though it has a tendency to stray to far from what it previously established. Code Geass: Hangtaku no Lelouch was a fun series full of plot twists and tons of action sequences,but what sets it apart from most mecha anime is its characters and its deathnote like theme.
