Overrated, overhyped...
I'm anime only for this and so far I haven't seen any special something on this anime.
I think I'm only watching this because of Gojo-sensei, nothing more.
I might change my review after watching the 2nd cour.
You know, it might get better like manga readers say... 🤷‍♀️
But for now... it's just ok anime for me.

Story: 7
It feels like I have watched the concept on other animes.
A goody main character having a villain inside him?
... Exorcising curses/yokai/demons?

OST are good but I never got goosebumps, just ok

Are you familiar with the story of "The Journey to the West"?
hmm... Chinese mythology?

9/10 story: It's very entertaining even though there are times that the story is confusing. You need patience in reading throughout and when you get to that chapter that explains everything... I tell you, it will surprise you and the reward is SO great!

9/10 art: The art is ok in the 1st volume but as you read more, the art is becoming greater. How the fights has been depicted per panel is so great that it feels like you're watching an anime. There are many freakin good and cool panels!

10/10 characters: You're ... even gonna love the villains and supporting characters. Main character Mori is so savage. 😂

10/10 enjoyment: If you love action, the bad*ss, thrilling fights here is on top. These godly fights made me want to reread it again... and again... and again.

PS: the anime is different from the webtoon, so don't automatically hate the webtoon if you don't like the anime

First of all, I highly recommend to read the webtoon!
(This is actually what the anime screams and feels... is to just go read the webtoon!) 😂

Story: The only problem I've got is the large amount of scenes that were cut from the webtoon and some parts of the story that they have changed.
If only they follow the webtoon faithfully, the rating of this anime might be higher. And I tell you, this first season is just the beginning. It will about to be go even crazier and hype after this.

Art and Sound: The anime is so pretty. The animation is smooth and lit! 🔥
OSTs ... are so amazing specially in episode 5, 10 and 13.

Characters: Others say the characters are bland in anime. I cannot relate to them, maybe because I have read the webtoon that I totally understand everything on what is going on. 😂 Jin Mori, Ilpyo and Daewi are badass and adorable characters.

Enjoyment: The fast pacing somehow disappoints me, specially when you have read the manhwa... There are scenes you want to be animated but they never showed it. I just really hope they had gave this anime a 24-episodes show. The fight scenes are so incredible though.
