Both are about highschool students with superhuman abilities. Both also has similar artwork since they are both made by key. As you guys already know, key makes mostly emotional animes so i am sure you guys can be hyped to get ready for the feels (sadness, happiness? Anything... i wont spoil) I m sure you guys will like this anime even if they have different plots. They are similar in one way or another.

Danganronpa: Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei The Animation
|
Both anime are similar by the fact that the characters are thrown into a real life world they do not know of. While the characters in danganronpa are being trapped in a school upon being accepted, the characters in btoom are thrown onto an island. The students in danganronpa are chosen depending on their talent and the participants in btoom are chosen by others who do not want them. In btoom, the participants are to kill one another for obtaining 7 green crystals that will allow them to obtain a ticket for escaping the island. As for danganronpa, the students are to murder each other without being noticed and if the killer is found, he/she is executed in a terrible way. Only the last student standing will be allowed to escape from this hellish school. Both animes feature the psychological thrills in many uniques ways such as the part where taira kiyoshi started to betray in btoom or the trials carried out in danganronpa to decide who is guilty for the murder. Of course, its intensity is almost the same as btoom since all the students, except for the murderer, would be executed if the wrong person is judged for the murder. Also, monokuma and enoshima junko, the host of the game in danganronpa would be making the students get to an edge for escaping the school by blackmailing them. Both anime are similar in many exciting ways and i am sure you guys will love danganronpa if you like btoom. Of course btoom contains action while danganronpa is mostly psychological. But both are about survival of the fittest.
